Qatar Airways announces conditions for entry into Qatar in light of the Coronavirus pandemic

Qatar Airways has announced the conditions for allowing nationals and residents to enter Qatar within the next four months as the coronavirus spreads, as the country begins the process of returning activities, stressing that the precautionary quarantine will be available to all nationals and residents in accredited hotels for 14 days after arrival.

The national carrier stated through its official website that citizens returning from June 15 to September 22 must book and pay for one of the 14-day quarantine packages, which must be booked before departing from Qatar, as well as Qataris currently outside Qatar must also book one of the approved quarantine packages, noting that check-in at Hamad International Airport will not be permitted without a confirmed quarantine reservation, if arrival in Qatar was before September 22.

Qatar Airways explained that Qatari nationals are only allowed to enter Qatar before the beginning of August, indicating that Qatari residents from selected “low-risk” countries will be allowed to travel from early August, which will be determined in the future, after obtaining prior permission to enter Qatar and confirming the booking of the quarantine package for 14 days.

Qatar Airways recommended that those arriving after September 22, wait until the earliest arrival date before confirming the return plans, in anticipation of the possibility of changing quarantine requirements, stressing that in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Health, it is not allowed to undergo the quarantine home, and the quarantine will be in quarantine hotels prepared, approved and dedicated to it.

The national carrier noted that residents whose Qatari residency has expired while outside Qatar can renew it after the 14-day travel and quarantine has been successfully approved, and noted that it is possible to return to airlines other than Qatar Airways.

Qatar airways confirmed that those who tested positive for COVID-19 will not be allowed to travel, but once recovery and negative testing, a person can travel by complying with entry requirements and quarantine.

أعلنت الخطوطُ الجويّة القطرية عن الشروط التي يجب توافرها للسماح بدخول المُواطنين والمُقيمين إلى قطر خلال الأشهر الأربعة المُقبلة في ظلّ انتشار فيروس كورونا، وذلك مع بدْء الدولة مراحل عودة الأنشطة، مؤكدةً أنَّ الحجر الصحي الاحترازي سيكون لجميع القادمين من مُواطنين ومقيمين بالفنادق المُعتمدة لمدة 14 يومًا بعد الوصول.

وذكرت الناقلةُ الوطنية عبر موقعها الرسميّ أنّ المواطنين العائدين من 15 يونيو وحتى 22 سبتمبر، يجب عليهم الحجز والدفع مقابل إحدى باقات الحجر الصحيّ المُعتمدة لمدة 14 يومًا، والتي يجب حجزُها قبل المُغادرة من قطر، كما يتعيّن على القطريّين الموجودين حاليًا خارج قطر أيضًا حجز إحدى باقات الحجر الصحيّ المعتمدة، مشيرةً إلى أنه لن يُسمح بتسجيل الوصول في مطار حمد الدولي بدون حجز مؤكّد للحجر الصحيّ، إذا كان الوصول إلى قطر قبل 22 سبتمبر.

وأوضحت الخطوطُ القطرية أنه يُسمح للمواطنين القطريين فقط بالدخول إلى قطر قبل مطلع أغسطس المقبل، مبينة أنه سيُسمح لحاملي الإقامة القطرية من دول مختارة «منخفضة المخاطر» بالسفر اعتبارًا من مطلع أغسطس والتي سيتمّ تحديدها مُستقبلاً، وذلك بعد الحصول على تصريح مسبق لدخول قطر وتأكيد حجز حزمة الحجر الصحيّ لمدة 14 يومًا.

وأوصت القطريةُ القادمين بعد 22 سبتمبر، بالانتظار إلى أقرب موعد للوصول قبل تأكيد خطط العودة، تحسبًا لإمكانية تغيير متطلبات الحجر الصحيّ، مؤكدة أنه وَفقًا للوائح وزارة الصحة، فمن غير المسموح الخضوع للحجر الصحيّ المنزلي، وسيكون الحجرُ في فنادق حجر صحيّ معدّة ومعتمدة ومخصّصة لذلك.

وأشارت الناقلةُ الوطنية إلى أنّ المقيمين الذين انتهت إقامتهم القطرية خلال تواجدهم خارج قطر يمكنهم تجديدها بعد أن تتم المُوافقة على السفر وإكمال الحجر الصحيّ لمدة 14 يومًا بنجاح، ونوّهت بأنّه يمكن العودة على شركات طيران أخرى غير الخطوط الجويّة القطريّة.

وأكّدت القطريةُ أنّه لن يُسمح لمن أظهر الفحص حمله لفيروس كورونا بالسفر، ولكن بمجرد التعافي والاختبار السلبيّ يستطيع الشخص السفرَ من خلال الالتزام بمُتطلبات الدخول والحجر الصحيّ.
