Doha: The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani visited the 12th International Event for Homeland Security and Civil Defense (Milipol Qatar 2018) held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center this morning to learn about the latest technologies and global defense and security industries.
The Amir toured the pavilions and sections of the exhibition, which witnesses the participation of several international companies and others from Qatar. During the tour, the Amir reviewed the latest products of these companies in the field of safety, defense and internal security, especially cybersecurity and security management of major events, communications software, airport security systems, and others.
The Amir visited several sections of the Ministry of Interior and the pavilion of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). He was also briefed on the command and control unit of Hamad Medical Corporation and also on a number of security, safety, and surveillance applications designed by young Qataris for individuals and institutions.
The Amir was accompanied by the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
قام حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، صباح أمس، بزيارة إلى المعرض الدولي الثاني عشر للأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني «ميليبول قطر 2018»، المقام في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، وذلك للاطلاع على أحدث التقنيات والصناعات الأمنية والدفاعية العالمية.
فقد قام سمو الأمير بجولة في أجنحة وأقسام المعرض، الذي تشارك فيه عدة شركات عالمية وأخرى من دولة قطر، اطلع خلالها على آخر منتجات ومعروضات هذه الشركات في مجال السلامة والدفاع والأمن الداخلي لا سيما الأمن السيبراني وإدارة أمن الفعاليات الكبرى، وبرمجيات الاتصالات، وأنظمة أمن المطارات وغيرها.
وزار سموه عدة أقسام في وزارة الداخلية، والركن الخاص بقوة الأمن الداخلي «لخويا»، كما اطلع سموه على وحدة القيادة والسيطرة التابعة لمؤسسة حمد الطبية، وكذلك على عدد من المشاريع الأمنية التي صممها وابتكرها عدد من الشباب القطريين، الهادفة لتطوير أنظمة الأمن وسلامة الأفراد والمؤسسات والتقنيات المتخصصة في مجالات المراقبة الأمنية.
رافق سمو الأمير خلال الزيارة معالي الشيخ عبدالله بن ناصر بن خليفة آل ثاني رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الداخلية.;
