MOPH Reports New Case of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19)
تسجيل حالة إصابة جديدة مؤكدة بفيروس كورونا 2019 (كوفيد-19)
Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) today announced that one new positive case of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has been confirmed in the State of Qatar, bringing the total number of cases in the country to eight. The infected patient is a Qatari citizen who was evacuated from Iran by Qatar on a private plane on February 27.
The infected patient was subjected to immediate quarantine upon arrival in Qatar and has not had contact with community members since his arrival. The risk of outbreaks of the disease in the wider community in Qatar is still very low.
The infected patient was admitted to the Communicable Disease Center under complete isolation and is in stable conditions.
The first seven positive cases that were diagnosed and recently announced all are in a stable health condition and are undergoing treatment at the Communicable Disease Center.
The Ministry of Public Health will continue to monitor those who have been in quarantine for any symptoms and will continue to take all necessary measures to limit the spread of the virus.
The Ministry has also set up a dedicated, round-the-clock call center to answer all questions and inquiries related to Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). The hotline number is 16000 and is toll-free.
أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة اليوم عن تسجيل حالة إصابة جديدة مؤكدة بفيروس كورونا 2019 (كوفيد – 19) في دولة قطر، لـمواطن من الذين قامت الدولة بإجلائهم على متن طائرة خاصة من الجمهورية الإسلامية الإيرانية في 27 فبراير الماضي، وممن خضعوا للحجر الصحي فور وصولهم للبلاد، ليصل بذلك عدد حالات الإصابة المؤكدة بالفيروس في البلاد إلى ثمان حالات حتى الآن.
وتم إدخال المريض إلى مركز الأمراض الانتقالية تحت العزل التام وهو في حالة صحية مستقرة، وتؤكد وزارة الصحة العامة أن المريض لم يخالط أفراد المجتمع منذ وصوله، ولا تزال مؤشرات تفشي المرض في دولة قطر منخفضة للغاية.
يذكر أن جميع الحالات السبع الأولى التي تم تشخيصها والإعلان عنها مؤخرا يتمتعون بوضع صحي مستقر ويخضعون للعلاج في مركز الأمراض الانتقالية.
كما تواصل وزارة الصحة العامة مراقبة من تم إخضاعهم للحجر الصحي في حال ظهور أي أعراض عليهم. وتتخذ الوزارة كافة الإجراءات اللازمة للحد من انتشار الفيروس.
يذكر أن مركز الاتصال الخاص بفيروس كورونا 2019 (كوفيد – 19) في وزارة الصحة العامة يتلقى أي بلاغات أو استفسارات تتعلق بالفيروس على مدار الساعة على رقم الاتصال المجاني (16000).
