Doha: The Minister of Public Health, H E Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, was briefed yesterday on the equipment and procedures applied at Hamad International Airport for the prevention of coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) as part of procedures to monitor and detect any suspected cases as early as possible and curb its transmission between members of the society.
During her tour at the airport, HE the Minister of Public Health was accompanied by the Chairman of Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, H E Abdullah bin Nasser Turki Al Subaie, and was briefed on the equipment that includes thermal scan and the medical clinic at Hamad International Airport as well as the readiness of medical staff.
The Minister of Public Health affirmed the importance of maintaining a state of high alert to detect, isolate and report any suspected cases of infection of the virus, and maintaining close cooperation between the health sector and all relevant authorities, with the application of basic preventive measures by all members of society, pointing out that disease prevention is a shared responsibility of everybody.
The Ministry of Public Health has tightened precautionary and preventive measures to deal with the COVID-19, which includes examining all travellers coming from countries that have recorded a noticeable increase in the outbreak of the virus and air and sea navigation crews through the country’s various entry points. The Ministry reaffirmed that no cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the State of Qatar so far.
H E the Minister of Health also recommended the postponement of travel to China, South Korea, Iran, Singapore, Japan and Italy. She explained that isolation or quarantine is applied to travellers from China, South Korea and Iran.
اطلعت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزيرة الصحة العامة اليوم على التجهيزات والإجراءات المطبقة في مطار حمد الدولي للوقاية من فيروس كورونا 2019 (كوفيد 19) ضمن إجراءات تشمل كافة منافذ الدولة وتهدف إلى الرصد والكشف عن أي حالات يشتبه في إصابتها بالعدوى بشكل مبكر والحد من انتقالها بين أفراد المجتمع.
-وزيرة الصحة تتفقد التجهيزات والإجراءات الوقائية في مطار حمد الدولي.
-وزيرة الصحة اطلعت على التجهيزات شاملة الفحص الحراري والعيادة الطبية في المطار، وجاهزية الأطقم الطبية.
-وزيرة الصحة تؤكد أهمية الإبقاء على حالة التأهب واليقظة المرتفعة لكشف وعزل والتبليغ عن أي حالة مشتبه إصابتها بالفيروس.
-فحص جميع المسافرين القادمين من الدول التي سجلت ازدياداً ملحوظاً في تفشي الفيروس وطواقم الملاحة الجوية والبحرية عبر منافذ الدولة المختلفة.
-وزارة الصحة تجدد التأكيد على أنه لم يتم تسجيل أي حالة بفيروس كورونا 2019 ( كوفيد-19) في دولة قطر حتى الآن.
-وزارة الصحة توصي بضرورة تأجيل السفر لكل من الصين، وكوريا الجنوبية، وإيران وسنغافورة واليابان وإيطاليا.
-تطبيق العزل أو الحجر الصحي للمسافرين القادمين من الصين وكوريا الجنوبية وإيران.
