HMC adds 1,000 medical staff, appoints Qatari nurses to leadership roles

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) nurses and midwives will be joined by nearly 1,000 additional nursing and midwifery professionals later this year.
This comes as part of strategic developments within the nursing and midwifery workforce that have also seen the promotion of several highly skilled Qatari nurses to more senior leadership roles.
A selected group of senior nursing and midwifery leaders recently completed a recruitment drive to attract and recruit the right talent for various nursing and midwifery posts across the corporation.
Dr Nicola Ryley, Chief Nursing Officer at HMC, said, “These new recruits are all educated with at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an approved education facility to ensure they meet HMC’s stringent skills and competency standards.
They will join nearly 11,000 existing nursing and midwifery staff that currently provide care to our patients within HMC hospitals as well as through our residential and home care services.”
“While we do need new staff to meet the growing demand for nursing and midwifery services, we are also working with our existing staff to help them develop their career potential. An integral part of HMC’s strategic succession plan is the development of experienced and skilled Qatari professionals, in line with the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030. We continuously invest in the development of our Qatari nurse leadership and it is wonderful to see their enthusiasm in developing nursing and midwifery services in Qatar. A growing number of nationals have recently received promotions for demonstrated excellent skills and commitment to their work and patients,” added Dr Ryley.
The Nursing and Midwifery Department has appointed Nadya Al Anzi as the new Executive Director of Nursing for the Private Nursing Service and Home Health Care Service, and Dr Fatima Bouladi as the new Assistant Executive Director for children’s services at the Home Health Care Service.
Both Al Anzi and Dr Bouladi assumed their new roles last month. HMC’s internationally accredited Home Health Care Service has more than 2,100 registered patients and has undergone tremendous expansion since its official launch in 2003.
Dr Ryley said that Al Anzi’s and Dr Bouladi’s promotions are part of ongoing efforts to increase the number of Qatari nurses in leadership roles.
أعلنت مؤسسة حمد الطبية أنه من المقرر أن ينضم حوالي 1000 من كوادر التمريض والقبالة الجدد إلى كوادر التمريض والقبالة العاملة في المؤسسة البالغ عددهم 11.000 كادر، نهاية العام الحالي. ويأتي ذلك في إطار التخطيط الاستراتيجي الذي تطبّقه المؤسسة في ما يتعلق بتطوير الموارد البشرية في مضمار التمريض والقبالة. وكانت نخبة من قيادات القبالة والتمريض في مؤسسة حمد الطبية قد أنهت مؤخراً إجراء حملة لاستقطاب وتوظيف كوادر تمريض وقبالة من ذوات الكفاءة لشغل مناصب مختلفة في جميع مرافق المؤسسة. وحول الكوادر التي تم توظيفها مؤخراً، قالت الدكتورة نيكولا رايلي، الرئيس التنفيذي للتمريض في مؤسسة حمد الطبية: «تمتاز الكوادر التمريضية المعيّنة بدرجة عالية من التعليم، حيث تحمل جميعها درجة البكالوريوس في التمريض من جامعات ومؤسسات تعليمية معترف بها؛ وذلك تلبية لمتطلبات ومعايير التوظيف الصارمة التي تتبعها مؤسسة حمد الطبية في توظيف كوادر الرعاية الصحية». من جانب آخر، أعلنت إدارة التمريض والقبالة بمؤسسة حمد الطبية عن تعيين كل من: السيدة نادية العنزي في منصب المدير التنفيذي للتمريض لخدمات التمريض الخاصة وخدمات الرعاية الصحية المنزلية، والدكتورة فاطمة بولادي في منصب مساعد المدير التنفيذي لخدمات الأطفال بخدمات الرعاية الصحية المنزلية. وقد باشرت كل منهما دورها الجديد الشهر الماضي.
