MoPH, Ooredoo sign pact to control communicable diseases
اتفاقية مع «أوريدو» لمراقبة الأمراض الانتقالية
Doha: The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Ooredoo, Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, signed an agreement on Tuesday between the Ministry and Ooredoo, agreeing the supply of an electronic system for the control of communicable diseases and the registration of vaccination for both children and adults in the State of Qatar.
Through the electronic system, all health facilities in the State will be connected with the Ministry of Public Health, with the system allowing for the reporting of cases of communicable diseases and the registration of vaccinations, taking into account the full confidentiality of patients.
Implementation of the system will be in two phases. The first will link the electronic system with existing certified electronic medical records in all government health facilities, while the second will connect other private and quasi-governmental health centres to the system. The aim of such connection is both to monitor and control the spread of communicable diseases and to ensure registration of vaccinations.
H E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, explained the electronic system will help strengthen the capability of the Ministry of Public Health to effectively monitor, manage and respond to health challenges, providing daily and weekly data on high-priority diseases in order to be able to take necessary preventative measures in a timely manner to maintain the health of the population.
“The system will also allow the identification of vaccination patterns, consumption rates and vaccine stocks in the country.”
Her Excellency stressed that the strengthening of health protection in Qatar is a key priority identified in the National Health Strategy, to ensure the provision of healthy living and working conditions for citizens and residents, and enable the prevention of communicable diseases and disease epidemics.
“The electronic system will contribute to both aspects of healthcare in Qatar, as well as working towards the national strategic goal of developing and implementing real-time systems to ensure compliance with international health regulations for monitoring and responding to medical issues. This includes support for the preparation for mass events in Qatar such as the 2022 FIFA World Cup.”
Sheikh Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with the Ministry of Public Health through this partnership agreement, in which we will provide the Department of Health Protection and Communicable Diseases with innovative and sophisticated solutions that will enable the collection, analysis and interpretation of data on communicable diseases.”
“This data will be used in the planning, implementation and evaluation of public health policies and practices in Qatar, in particular with regard to the prevention and eradication of such diseases.”

ومن خلال النظام الإلكتروني، سيتم ربط جميع المرافق الصحية في الدولة مع وزارة الصحة العامة، وتسهيل إجراءات الإبلاغ عن أي حالة تتعلق بالأمراض الانتقالية وتسجيل التطعيمات، مع مراعاة السرية الكاملة للمرضى.
ويتم تنفيذ النظام الإلكتروني على مرحلتين، حيث يتم في المرحلة الأولى ربط النظام الإلكتروني مع السجل الطبي الإلكتروني المعتمد في جميع المرافق الصحية الحكومية، في حين يتم في المرحلة الثانية ربط المراكز الخاصة وشبه الحكومية الأخرى بالنظام الإلكتروني لمراقبة الأمراض الانتقالية وتسجيل التطعيمات للأطفال والبالغين.
وأوضحت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري وزيرة الصحة العامة أن النظام الإلكتروني يساهم في تعزيز قدرات وزارة الصحة العامة على رصد التحديات الصحية وإدارتها والاستجابة لها على نحو فعال، حيث يوفر بيانات يومية وأسبوعية عن الأمراض ذات الأولوية العالية لاتخاذ التدابير الوقائية اللازمة في الوقت المناسب للحفاظ على صحة السكان، كما يمكن النظام الإلكتروني كذلك من التعرف على أنماط التطعيم، ونسب الاستهلاك، ومخزونات التطعيمات بالدولة.
من جهته، قال سعادة الشيخ عبدالله بن محمد بن سعود آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس إدارة «ooredoo»: «يسعدنا في ooredoo أن نتعاون مع وزارة الصحة العامة، من خلال اتفاقية شراكة سنزود بموجبها إدارة حماية الصحة ومكافحة الأمراض الانتقالية في الوزارة بحلول مبتكرة ومتطورة، بحيث تقوم هذه الأنظمة بجمع وتحليل وتفسير البيانات المتعلقة بالأمراض الانتقالية، ليتم استخدامها لاحقاً في تخطيط وتنفيذ وتقييم سياسات وممارسات الصحة العامة في قطر، وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بالوقاية من هذه الأمراض والتخلص منها. ونأمل من خلال هذا التعاون أن نساعد في تحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية الوطنية للصحة، وتحقيق أهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030».
