Sigma Metal Industries wins SME Excellence Award

Sigma Metal Industries has been presented SME Excellence Award by H E Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud Al Thani, Qatar Central Bank Governor and QDB Chairman, at a function organised by Qatar Development Bank.

They are the leading manufactures of traffic signs, directional signs, gantries and cantilevers, internal and external way finding signage. Sigma Metal industrial strives to be a leading player in Qatar’s traffic solutions industry by providing high quality products and creating a sustainable client base.

Established in 2008, the company is promoted by Nasser Sulaiman H M Al Haider, a prominent businessman, a member of the Advisory Council (Shura Council) for

H H the Amir of Qatar and a Board Member of Qatar Chamber. Doha bank is honoured that Sigma Metal Industries got recognition by getting an award, which is given to only Top 50 performing SMEs in Qatar.

حصلت شركة سيجما للأعمال المعدنية على جائزة التميُّز في قطاع الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، من سعادة الشيخ عبدالله بن سعود آل ثاني، محافظ مصرف قطر المركزي ورئيس مجلس إدارة بنك قطر للتنمية، خلال حفل توزيع جوائز قائمة التميُّز للشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة، الذي أقامه بنك قطر للتنمية مؤخراً. وتعدّ الشركة -التي تأسست عام 2008- رائدة في مجال تصنيع الإشارات المرورية، والإشارات التوجيهية، وإشارات الطرق، والجسور الناتئة (الكابول)، ولافتات مسارات الطرق الداخلية والخارجية. وتسعى شركة سيجما للأعمال المعدنية إلى أن تصبح إحدى أكبر الشركات في مجال حلول حركة المرور في قطر، من خلال توفير منتجات عالية الجودة، وإنشاء قاعدة عملاء مستدامة.

تأسيس

وقد تأسست الشركة على يد السيد ناصر سليمان الحيدر، وهو أحد رجال الأعمال البارزين، وعضو في مجلس الشورى القطري، وعضو مجلس إدارة غرفة قطر. ويفخر بنك الدوحة بحصول شركة سيجما للأعمال المعدنية على هذا التكريم، الذي لا تحصل عليه سوى 50 فقط من الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة الأعلى أداءً في دولة قطر.

جهود

بدوره، أثنى الدكتور ر. سيتارامان -الرئيس التنفيذي لبنك الدوحة- على جهود شركة سيجما للأعمال المعدنية، وهنّأ السيد ناصر سليمان وإدارة الشركة على أدائهم المتميز في السوق القطري، بفضل انتهاجهم نموذج أعمال حيوي عاد بالأثر الإيجابي على الاقتصاد القطري.

وقد كان بنك الدوحة رائداً في تقدير أهمية الدور الحيوي الذي تلعبه الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة في تنمية الاقتصاد القطري، كما كان بنك الدوحة أول من أطلق برنامجاً مخصصاً للشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة تحت اسم «تطوير» في عام 2008. وكان يهدف بنك الدوحة من إطلاقه لهذه المبادرة إلى المشاركة في مسيرة التنوع الاقتصادي في قطر، من خلال تشجيع الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة.

ومن المؤكد أن قصص النجاح التي تم تكريمها اليوم قد شجعت عملاء آخرين من الشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة على التواصل مع بنك الدوحة، لاستيفاء متطلبات التمويل الخاصة بهم. ويقدم بنك الدوحة العديد من المنتجات لتلبية متطلبات رأس المال طويلة الأجل للعملاء، بالإضافة إلى التسهيلات قصيرة الأجل الخاصة بتمويل رأس المال العامل.
