PHCC to host Scientific Research Conference in December

DOHA: The Primary Health Care Corporation Qatar (PHCC) will be hosting the 4th Scientific Research Conference in Doha on December 1 and 2.

The conference will serve as a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience on key primary care issues, contributing towards continuing education, capacity building for research, innovation and collaboration to help shape primary health.

Dr Hanan Al Mujalli , Executive Director of Clinical Affairs at PHCC, said, “We are delighted to be hosting the Scientific Research conference for the fourth time in Qatar. The conference is set to draw in high-profile speakers, the brightest mind and innovative professionals to meet and exchange experiences and ideas. A great opportunity to explore and embrace development in primary care whilst promoting healthier communities.”

The annual event promotes the significance of primary care research, bringing together inspiring speakers and experts to share knowledge and best practice through panel sessions, discussion and workshops.

The theme of this year’s conference ‘Promoting Preventive Interventions, Improving the Quality of Care’ reflects recognition in the rise of chronic preventable conditions influenced by modifiable risk factors in Qatar.

By better understanding causes and developing and implementing appropriately targeted, contextualised and effective preventive interventions in primary care settings, preventable conditions can be reduced and even eliminated and the quality of care can be significantly improved.

The foundations to achieving these include through strengthening the generation and use of evidence in health decision-making, development of policies and intervention.

The two-day event will host an impressive lineup of speakers and primary care experts, promoting development, transfer and implementation of innovative practices as well as encouraging joint initiatives and peer learning.

تنظم مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية يومي 1 و2 ديسمبر المقبل، مؤتمر البحث العلمي الرابع، الذي يركز على مناقشة أحدث الخدمات المقدمة للرعاية الصحية الأولية محلياً وعالمياً، وتشجيع المجتمع على الممارسات الصحية السليمة.

ويعتبر المؤتمر بمثابة منتدى لتبادل المعارف والخبرات حول شؤون الرعاية الأولية الأساسية، بهدف المساهمة في تعزيز التعليم، وبناء القدرات في مجال البحوث والابتكار والتعاون، من أجل تحسين الخدمات الصحية.

كما يهدف إلى تعزيز أهمية البحث في مجال الرعاية الأولية، حيث يجمع عدداً من المتحدثين والخبراء لتبادل المعرفة، وأفضل الممارسات، ضمن جلسات نقاشية، وورش عمل مختلفة.

وينعقد المؤتمر هذا العام تحت شعار: «تعزيز الإجراءات الوقائية وتحسين جودة الخدمات»، مما يعكس الوعي العام بتزايد الحالات المرضية المزمنة، التي يمكن الوقاية منها، والتي تتأثر بعوامل الخطورة القابلة للتدخل الوقائي في دولة قطر، حيث إن فهم الأسباب وتطوير الإجراء الوقائي الفعال والمستهدف في مجال الرعاية الصحية، يؤديان إلى تحسين جودة الرعاية الصحية.

ويستضيف هذا الحديث السنوي عدداً من المتحدثين المرموقين وكبار الخبراء في قطاع الرعاية الصحية الأولية، بهدف تطوير الممارسات المبتكرة، وتناقلها وتنفيذها على أرض الواقع، إلى جانب تشجيع المبادرات المشتركة، وتبادل الخبرات.;
