Health Minister visits HMC’s Enaya Specialised Care Centre
وزيرة الصحة تتفقد مركز عناية للرعاية التخصصية
HE the Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed al-Kuwari visited patients and staff at Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Enaya Specialised Care Center on Monday and inspected the construction of the new building for Sports and Social Activities Support Fund (Daam).
Last year, Dr al- Kuwari and HE Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud al-Thani, Qatar Central Bank governor and chairman of the Board of Directors of Daam, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the Daam Specialised Care Center.
The donation from Daam covers all the costs to retrofit and commission the new facility, which has already commenced construction in Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City.
The new facility, which will join HMC’s existing Enaya Specialised Care Centers, is expected to open in late 2019 and will have 67 beds.
This inpatient specialised care centre will provide an advanced care system for patients who are well enough to be discharged from hospital but still require specialised medical treatment that is often long term.
It will expand the capacity of the current Enaya facilities while also providing more privacy for patients who require long-term medical care outside of the hospital setting.
Opened in early 2015, the Enaya Specialised Care Center provides an advanced care system for long-term patients with chronic illnesses and degenerative diseases that restrict their ability to care for themselves. The facility offers a healing environment with over 150 patient beds, state-of-the-art facilities, and round-the-clock monitoring and treatment from specialist nurses and doctors.
“The care that our teams at Enaya are providing is so important to patients and their families. Dedicated care teams provide specialised medical care while also working to enhance the ability of patients to function independently, to engage more with family and friends, and where possible, to bring a sense of normalcy into patients’ lives. Our plans to expand Qatar’s community-based care facilities in 2019 with the opening of the Daam Specialised Care Center will ensure we can continue to provide patient-centered medical care to even more people in the future,” said Dr al-Kuwari.
In recent years, HMC has made major strides towards redefining continuing care in Qatar. In addition to the two existing Enaya Specialised Care Centers, HMC operates two community-based facilities in Muaither and a busy multi-disciplinary Home Healthcare Service which cares for thousands of patients across Qatar.
قامت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزيرة الصحة العامة، بعد ظهر أمس بزيارة لمركز “عناية” للرعاية التخصصية التابع لمؤسسة حمد الطبية، التقت خلالها بالمرضى وكوادر الرعاية الصحية العاملة بالمركز، كما أجرت سعادتها زيارة تفقدية لموقع إنشاء مركز “دعم” للعناية التخصصية في مدينة حمد بن خليفة الطبية.
يوفر مركز “عناية” للرعاية التخصصية –الذي تم افتتاحه مطلع عام 2015- نظام رعاية صحية متقدم لمرضى الرعاية المطوّلة الذين يعانون من أمراض مزمنة وأمراض تفاقمية تحدّ من قدرتهم على الاعتناء بأنفسهم. يوفر المركز الذي تتجاوز سعته السريرية 150 سريراً بيئة استشفائية متميزة من خلال مرافقه الحديثة وخدماته العلاجية الحانية والآمنة والتي يقدمها على مدار الساعة أطباء وكوادر تمريضية متخصصة في هذا المجال.
من جانبها قالت سعادة الدكتورة حنان الكواري: “تمثل خدمات الرعاية التي تقدمها فرقنا في مركز “عناية” للرعاية التخصصية عنصراً هاماً في حياة المرضى وأفراد أسرهم، حيث تقدم كوادرنا عناية طبية متخصصة للمرضى بهدف تعزيز وتحسين قدراتهم على أداء مهامهم اليومية بصورة أكثر استقلالية ومساعدتهم على الاندماج في الأنشطة المختلفة مع أسرهم وأصدقائهم وعيش حياتهم بصورة طبيعية قدر الإمكان، كما ستضمن خططنا للتوسع في مرافق الرعاية التأهيلية المطوّلة في عام 2019 مع افتتاح مركز “دعم” للعناية التخصصية تعزيز قدرتنا على مواصلة تقديم رعاية طبية عالية الجودة لمزيد من المرضى في المستقبل”.
وكان كل من سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزير الصحة العامة، وسعادة الشيخ عبد الله بن سعود آل ثاني، محافظ مصرف قطر المركزي ورئيس مجلس إدارة صندوق دعم الأنشطة الاجتماعية والرياضية (دعم)، قد وقّعا أواخر العام الماضي مذكرة تفاهم حول تعزيز خدمات الرعاية المطوّلة التي يتم تقديمها في قطر للمرضى الذين لم يعودوا بحاجة للبقاء في المستشفى ولكنهم يحتاجون إلى الحصول على رعاية تخصصية في مرافق الإقامة المطوّلة. وسيتم وفقاً لمذكرة التفاهم إنشاء “مركز دعم للعناية التخصصية” بمؤسسة حمد الطبية من خلال تبرّع من صندوق دعم، وسيغطي التبرّع 100% من تكاليف تطوير وتدشين المركز الجديد، والذي بدأ العمل بالفعل على إنشائه في مدينة حمد بن خليفة الطبية.
ومن المتوقع أن يتم افتتاح المركز الجديد أواخر عام 2019 بسعة سريرية تصل إلى 67 سريراً، وسيوفر افتتاح المرفق الجديد زيادة في السعة السريرية لمراكز “عناية” القائمة حالياً، مع استمرار هذه المرافق في تقديم رعاية ذات جودة عالية وضمان توفير الخصوصية للمرضى الذين يحتاجون إلى خدمات الرعاية المطوّلة في مرافق متخصصة.
