Nasser Al-Attiyah Takes the Lead in Baja Italy

Doha: Our world champion, Nasser bin Saleh Al-Attiyah, has taken the lead in the 30th edition of Baja Italy International 2023 by securing first place in the first stages of the rally. Accompanied by his navigator, Mathieu Baumel, our world champion Nasser Al-Attiyah triumphed with his Toyota Hilux, recording a time of 3 hours, 10 minutes, and 9 seconds in the morning and evening stages. The Saudi champion, Yazeed Al-Rajhi, and his German navigator, Timo Gottschalk, finished in second place, with a time of 3 hours, 11 minutes, and 46 seconds. Meanwhile, Portuguese driver Gouveia and his compatriot navigator, Baleario, secured third place in their Mini John Cooper, recording a time of 3 hours, 19 minutes, and 9 seconds.
Nasser bin Saleh Al-Attiyah, the world champion, expressed his happiness at leading the first day of Baja Italy in its 30th edition, saying, “We thank God and appreciate His blessings for leading the first day of Baja Italy despite the difficulties of the challenging course, which presented us with many obstacles due to the narrow roads. However, with God’s grace and our experience, we overcame those challenges, and our goal is to win the title. Today, we will make every effort to maintain our lead.”

الدوحة: تصدر بطلنا العالمي ناصر بن صالح العطية باها ايطاليا الدولي 2023 في نسخته (30) بفوزه بالمركز الأول في مراحل اليوم الأول من الرالي، ونجح بطلنا العالمي ناصر العطية بصحبة ملاحه ماثيو بوميل على متن سيارته تويوتا هايلوكس من الفوز بالمركز الأول وذلك بعد أن قطع مسافة المراحل الصباحية والمسائية مسجلا زمناً قدره (3 ساعات و10 دقائق و09 ثوان) وحل في المركز الثاني البطل السعودي يزيد الراجحي وملاحه الألماني تيم غوتشالك مسجلا زمناً قدره (3 ساعات و11 دقيقة و46 ثانية) بينما كان المركز الثالث من نصيب السائق البرتغالي جوفيريرا وملاحه مواطنه بالميرو، على متن سيارته ميني جون كوبر، مسجلا زمنا قدره (3 ساعات و19 دقيقة و09 ثانية).
ومن جانبه أعرب البطل العالمي ناصر بن صالح العطية عن سعادته بصدارة اليوم الأول لباها ايطاليا في نسخته (30) قائلا: “نحمد الله ونشكره على تصدر اليوم الأول من الباها رغم صعوبة المسار الذي تعرضنا للكثير من المشاكل بسبب ضيق الطريق، ولكن بفضل من الله وبخبرتنا تجاوزنا تلك الصعاب، ونضع نصب أعيننا الفوز باللقب، وسنحاول اليوم بذل قصارى جهدنا لنتمكن من المحافظة على الصدارة”.
