Woqod renews contract with QP for next 5 years
“وقود” توقع اتفاقية بيع وشراء المنتجات البترولية الجديدة مع قطر للبترول
DOHA: Qatar Fuel (WOQOD), the main distributor of retail petroleum products in Qatar, announced yesterday that it has extended the petroleum products sale and purchase agreement with Qatar Petroleum (QP) for a further period of five years expiring on September 30, 2023.
A new agreement has been recently executed embodying the terms, conditions and arrangements reached by the parties in this regard.
Woqod Chief Executive Officer Engineer Saad Rashid Al-Muhannadi (pictured) said Woqod is undertaking the sale purchase, marketing, distribution and transportation of petroleum products within the local market pursuant to a concession granted by the Government of Qatar since the year 2003.
The extension of the agreement has been effected to enable Woqod further carry out the scope of work entrusted to it.
Al Muhannadi expressed his profound thanks and appreciation for the great confidence reposed on Woqod by the state of Qatar and Qatar Petroleum, and for the continuous unfailing support they are providing to Woqod in furtherance of Woqod undertaking the distribution of petroleum products and gas along with related services.
He went on to emphasize that, such confidence and support would certainly prompt Woqod to exert more efforts and persistent work in furtherance of the provision of its services according to the highest specifications and modern techniques, through the establishment of a modern distribution sector comprising stations, distribution and transport network and integrated infrastructure facilities covering and supplying the increasing sustainable requirement of the state land, air and marine facilities, of petroleum products.
The supply will be conducted in line with the highest security, safety, health and environment, and thus support our beloved country’s comprehensive development endeavors.
Al Muhannadi said that Woqod will fully liaise and cooperate with Qatar Petroleum to ensure consistent provision of the requirements of the state and the local market of petroleum products, and other accompanying services, in accordance with the set policies, plans and programs, in furtherance of the public interest, as well as the interest of the company and its shareholders.

أعلنت شركة قطر للوقود “وقود” اليوم، أنه تم تجديد اتفاقية بيع وشراء المنتجات البترولية المبرمة بينها وبين قطر للبترول لمدة خمس سنوات إضافية لتنتهي في نهاية سبتمبر عام 2023.
وصرح المهندس سعد راشد المهندي الرئيس التنفيذي لوقود بأن شركته ستقوم ببيع وشراء وتسويق وتوزيع ونقل المنتجات البترولية في السوق المحلي بموجب امتياز حصري تتمتع به منذ عام 2003، موضحا أن تجديد الاتفاقية جاء تمكينا لوقود من القيام بنطاق الأعمال المعهود لها القيام به.
وأعرب المهندي عن بالغ شكر وتقدير “وقود” للثقة الكبيرة التي توليها لها الدولة وقطر للبترول، والدعم المتواصل الذي تقدمانه لها في سبيل اطلاعها بخدمات توزيع المنتجات البترولية والخدمات المصاحبة.. مؤكدا أن الثقة والدعم المقدمين من شأنهما أن يحفزا الشركة ويدفعانها لبذل المزيد من الجهود والعمل الدؤوب لأجل تقديم خدماتها وفق أفضل المواصفات والأساليب التقنية الحديثة، من خلال بناء قطاع توزيع حديث يشتمل على محطات وشبكات نقل وتوزيع ومرافق بنى تحتية متكاملة لتغطية وإمداد جميع أرجاء الدولة، برا وبحرا وجوا، باحتياجاتها المتجددة والمتزايدة بمرور الوقت من المنتجات البترولية، وفق أفضل معايير الأمن والسلامة والصحة والبيئة، مما من شأنه أن يعزز مسيرة التنمية الشاملة للدولة.
وأوضح أن قطر للوقود سوف تقوم بالتنسيق والتعاون الكامل مع قطر للبترول من أجل توفير متطلبات الدولة والسوق الداخلي من المنتجات البترولية والخدمات الأخرى المصاحبة وفقا للسياسات والخطط والبرامج المرسومة وبما يعزز مقتضيات المصلحة العامة ومصلحة الشركة ومساهميها.
