QNB Receives Prestigious Sustainable Finance Awards from Global Finance

Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) Group received Two prestigious awards from Global Finance as part of the Sustainable Finance Awards 2023 ceremony held recently in London.
QNB’s excellence was marked through the recognition of its “Outstanding Leadership in Green Bonds across Middle East”, “Outstanding Leadership in Sustainable Project Finance across Middle East”, and being the “Best Bank for Sustainable Finance in Qatar”.
Being the third consecutive year that QNB has been recognized through these awards, it brings the Group to a total of 9 Global Finance and Sustainable Finance Awards to date. Complemented by the Bank’s recently published, market leading Sustainable Finance and Product Framework (SFPF), the awards are a clear recognition of the Group’s commitment towards enhancing its sustainability agenda and amplifying the Group’s effort in raising awareness in the community to highlight its sustainability initiatives. It is also worth noting that the Group’s continued execution of its sustainability framework has resulted in leading Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) ratings in the region from international rating agencies. This is a testament to QNB’s purpose to promote prosperity and sustainable growth across the markets it serves.
The Global Finance Sustainable Finance Awards were set to illuminate global, regional and country leadership in sustainable finance, as well as the efforts that the banks set forward to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change.

الدوحة: حصلت مجموعة /بنك قطر الوطني/ على جائزتين من مجلة /غلوبال فاينانس/، ضمن جوائز برنامج التمويل المستدام لعام 2023 التي تم توزيعها في حفل أقيم مؤخرا بالعاصمة البريطانية لندن.
والجائزتان التي حصل عليهما /بنك قطر الوطني/، هما جائزة الريادة في مجال السندات الخضراء عبر الشرق الأوسط، وجائزة الريادة في تمويل المشاريع المستدامة عبر الشرق الأوسط.
وتعد هذه السنة هي الثالثة على التوالي التي يتم فيها تكريم/ بنك قطر الوطني/ بحصوله على هذه الجوائز، حيث نال البنك 9 جوائز عالمية للتمويل والتمويل المستدام حتى الآن، حيث تعكس الجوائز حرص المجموعة على تعزيز استراتيجيتها الخاصة بالاستدامة ومضاعفة جهودها في زيادة الوعي في المجتمع لتسليط الضوء على مبادرات الاستدامة الخاصة بها، والتي يتم استكمالها بإطار عمل المنتجات المستدامة والتمويل المستدام (SFPF) الذي تم نشره مؤخرا من قبل البنك.
يذكر أن التنفيذ المستمر لإطار الاستدامة الخاص بالمجموعة ساهم في حصول البنك على تصنيفات متقدمة للحوكمة البيئية والاجتماعية والمؤسسية في المنطقة من وكالات التصنيف الدولية، ما يؤكد على هدفها المتمثل في تعزيز الازدهار والنمو المستدام عبر الأسواق التي تعمل بها.
وتسلط جوائز /غلوبال فاينانس/ للتمويل المستدام الضوء على الريادة العالمية والإقليمية والقطرية في التمويل المستدام، بالإضافة إلى الجهود التي بذلتها البنوك للتخفيف من الآثار السلبية لتغير المناخ.
