Doha: Netflix has announced that the iconic 1997 blockbuster film, ‘Titanic’, will be making a comeback on their streaming platform starting July 1, 2023.
This news comes shortly after a tragic incident that took place during an expedition to the infamous luxury passenger liner’s ocean floor ruins.
Some people have expressed their opinions on social media, claiming that Netflix “could’ve chosen a more sensitive time”, insinuating that the company might be capitalizing on the tragedy to boost their viewership.
However, some argue that Netflix may have simply responded to the demands of their viewers, according to The Independent.
The film, featuring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, tells a fictional tale of love between an aristocrat and an artist aboard the ill-fated Titanic.
As Netflix prepares to reintroduce this beloved movie, audiences will soon get another chance to experience the enthralling romance and grandeur of the Titanic’s story.
