QFBA Organizes Training Program on Venture Capital investments

Doha: Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA), in cooperation with Qatar Development Bank, organized a four-day training program on venture capital investments.
The training program aims to introduce investors and other traders and businessmen wishing to enter this field to the important and basic principles that help them achieve their own goals, and to help them understand the decision-making process that investors go through when identifying sources, selecting startups and supporting them after investment in addition to introducing entrepreneurs wishing to enter this type of investment, to how to obtain the necessary financing, and help them develop and expand their businesses.
The training program included intensive workshops, where an elite of experts and entrepreneurs shared their expertise in the field of venture investment. The workshops also gave an overview of Venture Capital Investments, and highlighted topics like identifying the sources of good deal flow, building investment criteria for the venture capitalist, investment portfolio strategy, evaluating emerging companies and due diligence, structuring deals, legal documents for venture capital, ensuring sound governance, and the role of the venture capitalist in emerging companies.
In addition, the program provided the participants with an educational experience rich in simulation models, case studies, and best practices in the field of venture capital investment.

الدوحة: نظمت أكاديمية قطر للمال والأعمال، بالتعاون مع بنك قطر للتنمية، برنامجا تدريبيا حول استثمارات رأس المال الجريء، على مدار أربعة أيام.
ويأتي تنظيم البرنامج في إطار الحرص على تطوير قدرات رواد الأعمال والمستثمرين، وتعزيز خبراتهم، وإكسابهم مهارات جديدة وشاملة في مجال الاستثمار الجريء.
ويهدف البرنامج التدريبي إلى تعريف المستثمرين الجريئين وغيرهم من الراغبين في دخول هذا المجال من التجار ورجال الأعمال بالمبادئ المهمة والأساسية، التي تساعدهم على تحقيق أهدافهم الخاصة، ومساعدتهم على فهم عملية اتخاذ القرار التي يخوضها المستثمرون عند تحديدهم للمصادر واختيار الشركات الناشئة ودعمها بعد الاستثمار، فضلا عن تعريف رواد الأعمال الراغبين في دخول هذا النوع من الاستثمارات، بكيفية الحصول على التمويل اللازم، ومساعدتهم على تطوير أعمالهم والتوسع بها.
واشتمل البرنامج التدريبي على ورش تعليمية مكثفة، وتحدث فيها نخبة من الخبراء والمستثمرين الرواد في مجال الاستثمار الجريء، كما تم خلالها تسليط الضوء على عدد من المحاور الرئيسية بما في ذلك: نظرة عامة حول استثمارات رأس المال الجريء، وتحديد مصادر تدفق الصفقات الجيدة، وبناء معايير الاستثمار الخاصة بالمستثمر الجريء، واستراتيجية المحافظ الاستثمارية، وتقييم الشركات الناشئة والعناية الواجبة، وهيكلة الصفقات، والمستندات القانونية للاستثمار الجريء، وضمان الحوكمة السليمة، ودور المستثمر الجريء في الشركات الناشئة.
بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ساهم البرنامج في تقديم تجربة تعليمية للمشاركين، غنية بنماذج المحاكاة ودراسات الحالة، وأفضل الممارسات في مجال استثمار رأس المال الجريء، كما حصل المشاركون فيه على شهادة إتمام، اعترافا بإكمالهم البرنامج التدريبي.
