Number of Tourists in Qatar Rises 231.5% YoY in April

Doha: The Qatari tourism sector saw the number of visitors grow 231.5 percent year over year, bringing the total number in April 2023 to about 324,374 visitors. The figure was 25.1 percent on a monthly basis. , compared to the same month in 2022, while the sector recorded a monthly decline of 25.1 percent, compared to March 2023.

The Planning and Statistics Authority has released the 112th issue of “Qatar; Monthly Statistics” bulletin; a series of statistical newsletters released on a monthly basis. In it, the authority said that the highest number of visitors came from the Europe at 46 percent of the total visitors. As for visitors by type of port, the visitors via Air made up the highest percentage with 53 percent of the total number of visitors.

As for the Banking Sector; Total Broad Money Supply (M2) recorded about QR 696 Billion during April 2023, an annual increase of 9.0 percent compared with April 2022. On the other hand, cash equivalents; including Commercial Bank Deposits, attained for QR 964 Billion during April 2023. The figure has recorded an annual increase of 0.8 percent compared to April 2022, when deposits recorded approximately QR 956 Billion.

There was a the decline registered in the total numbers and value of sold properties at a monthly rate of 53.8 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively (compared to March 2023), and at an annual rate of 52.4 percent and 56.6 percent, respectively (compared to April 2022). Further, there was a drop in the value of shares traded at a monthly rate of 30.5 percent (compared to March 2023), as well as a decrease in the Market General Index (points) by 0.3 percent (compared to March 2023).

Regarding Vital Statistics, 2283 live births have been registered during April 2023. Also, an increase in the total Qatari live births by 14.7 percent comparing to last month. On the other hand, 192 deaths were recorded during the same period, a decrease of 17.6 percent compared to March 2023.

Moreover, April 2023 witnessed a monthly decrease of 36.8 percent and 55.9 percent of total marriage contracts and total divorce certificates respectively compared to the previous month. The total number of marriage contracts reached 232 marriage contracts, while the total number of divorce certificates reached 64 cases.

As for the Social Security statements, reached QR78 Million Qatari Riyals in April 2023, for 14362 beneficiaries, recording a monthly increase of 0.4 percent for the value of social security and a monthly increase of 0.3 percent for the number of beneficiaries of Social Security.

Regarding the data of buildings permits issued, the total number of permits has reached 383 permits during April 2023, recording a monthly decrease of 42.5 percent and an annual decrease of 43.4 percent.

The total number of registered new vehicles during April 2023 has reached 6816 new vehicles. The figure showed a monthly decrease of 3.9 percent and showed an annual decrease of 6.9 percent.
Traffic accidents cases without counting the accidents without injuries, a total of 779 traffic cases were recorded during April 2023, showing a monthly decrease of 3.3 percent and an annual increase by 12.1 percent. Light injuries are accounted for most traffic accidents cases during the same month, with 93 percent, followed by severe injuries by 5 percent. However, 13 deaths were recorded, equivalent to only 2 percent of total traffic accidents cases.

الدوحة: سجل القطاع السياحي القطري ارتفاعا في عدد الزوار، بنسبة 231.5 بالمئة، على أساس سنوي، ليصل عددهم الإجمالي في أبريل 2023، نحو 324 ألفا و374 زائرا، مقارنة بالشهر ذاته من عام 2022، فيما سجل القطاع تراجعا على أساس شهري بلغ 25.1 بالمئة، عن مارس الماضي.

وأوضحت نشرة قطر “إحصاءات شهرية”، بعددها الجديد، الصادر عن جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء، اليوم، أن أكثر عدد الزوار القادمين كان من دول أوروبا، بنسبة 46 بالمئة، وفيما يخص الزوار حسب نوع المنفذ، فقد شكل الزوار عن طريق الجو النسبة الأعلى، وقدرها 53 بالمئة من مجموعهم الكلي.

ومن بين المتغيرات، التي رصدتها النشرة خلال أبريل 2023، ارتفاع شهري بقيمة عرض النقد الواسع (2) ، فقد بلغت 696 مليار ريال، مسجلة ارتفاعا سنويا نسبته 9 بالمئة، مقارنة بأبريل 2022، بينما بلغت قيمة شبه النقد، الذي يشمل ودائع البنوك التجارية 964 مليار ريال بأبريل 2023، مسجلا ارتفاعا سنويا نسبته 0.8 بالمئة، عن أبريل 2022، حيث كان إجمالي الودائع حينها 956 مليار ريال.

وبخصوص الإحصاءات العقارية، فقد انخفض إجمالي أعداد وقيم العقارات المباعة، بمعدل شهري قدره 53.8 بالمئة و23.4 بالمئة على التوالي عن مارس 2023، كما انخفض سنويا بمقدار52.4 بالمئة و56.6 بالمئة على التوالي عن أبريل 2022.

وفيما يخص البيانات الحيوية، فقد بلغ إجمالي المواليد الأحياء 2283 مولودا في أبريل 2023، وسجل إجمالي المواليد الأحياء القطريين ارتفاعا بنسبة 14.7 بالمئة عن شهر مارس الماضي، في حين بلغ إجمالي الوفيات 192 حالة، مسجلة انخفاضا بنسبة 17.6 بالمئة عن مارس 2023.

وشهد أبريل 2023 انخفاضا شهريا بنسبة 36.8 بالمئة و55.9 بالمئة في إجمالي عقود الزواج وشهادات الطلاق على التوالي، حيث بلغ إجمالي عقود الزواج 232 عقدا، في حين بلغ إجمالي شهادات الطلاق 64 حالة.

أما عن بيانات الضمان الاجتماعي فقد بلغت قيمتها 78 مليون ريال بأبريل 2023 لـ 14ألف و362 مستفيدا، مسجلا ارتفاعا شهريا قدره 0.4 بالمئة لقيمة الضمان الاجتماعي، كما شهد ارتفاعا شهريا بلغ 0.3 بالمئة لعدد المستفيدين من الضمان الاجتماعي.

وبالنسبة لبيانات رخص البناء الصادرة، بلغ إجمالي الرخص 383 رخصة بأبريل 2023، مسجلة انخفاضا شهريا نسبته 42.5 بالمئة، وانخفاضا سنويا قدره 43.4 بالمئة.

وعن المركبات الجديدة المسجلة، فقد أوضحت النشرة أن مجموع المركبات المسجلة بأبريل 2023 بلغ 6 آلاف و816 مركبة، مسجلة انخفاضا شهريا نسبته 3.9 بالمئة، وسنويا نسبته 6.9 بالمئة.

وبالنسبة لبيانات قضايا الحوادث المرورية دون احتساب الحوادث بلا إصابات، فقد بلغ عددها 779 خلال أبريل 2023، مسجلا انخفاضا شهريا بنسبة 3.3 بالمئة، بينما سجلت ارتفاعا سنويا قدره 12.1 بالمئة.

وسجلت الإصابات الخفيفة الغالبية العظمى من قضايا الحوادث المرورية خلال نفس الشهر بنسبة 93 بالمئة، تليها الإصابات البليغة بنسبة 5 بالمئة، أما بالنسبة للوفيات فقد بلغت 13 حالة وفاة، تعادل 2 بالمئة من إجمالي قضايا الحوادث المرورية.
