Doha: Director-General of the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti opened on Monday the Qatari plastic art exhibition at building 19, hall 2.
Attended by an elite of artists and those interested in plastic art, the exhibition features artworks of a host of Qatari plastic artists who carried the torch of plastic art and held multiple exhibitions at home and abroad to represent Qatar in several international artistic arenas.
Their works highlight the Qatari reality in the past and present, as the exhibition includes artworks of a contingent of Qatari plastic artists hailing from a variety of schools and opinions for this artwork.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Director of the Public Relations and Communications Department at Katara Salem Mabkhout Al Marri said the Qatari plastic art exhibition is permanent and private for Qatari artists in the field of plastic art.
The exhibition showcases 30 artworks for 14 male and female artists and addresses roughly three generations from 1960 until 2023, he outlined, adding that some abstract and real works are being showcased some of them are related to heritage and Islamic art, along with other numerous fields.
Plastic artist, Maryam Al Mulla told QNA that she is pleased to participate in the Qatari plastic art exhibition, pointing out that the exhibition is persistent and open to attendees from various generations of trailblazers, Middle Ages, and young people, adding that paintings are changed, and opportunities are open to other artists.
She underscored the importance of this exhibition in demonstrating the artistic abilities of artists and their innovations, as well as capitalizing on a wide range of expertise from schools.
Katara holds this event within the framework of its permanent keenness to supply the art scene with promising artworks, in addition to supporting the Qatari artists to nurture the scene and keeping up with art fans.

الدوحة: افتتح الدكتور خالد بن إبراهيم السليطي المدير العام للمؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي كتارا، مساء الأمس، في مبنى 19 قاعة 2 معرض الفن التشكيلي القطري بحضور نخبة من الفنانين والمهتمين.
يضم المعرض أعمالا لنخبة من الفنانين التشكيليين القطريين الذين حملوا شعلة الفن التشكيلي وأقاموا العديد من المعارض داخليا وخارجيا ليمثلوا قطر في العديد من المحافل الفنية الدولية، وتبرز أعمالهم الواقع القطري في الماضي والحاضر، ويضم المعرض أعمالا لعدد من الفنانين التشكيليين القطريين من مدارس ورؤى مختلفة لهذا الفن.
وقال السيد سالم مبخوت المري مدير إدارة العلاقات العامة والاتصال في كتارا، في تصريح خاص لوكالة الأنباء القطرية “قنا”، إن معرض الفن التشكيلي القطري يعتبر معرضا دائما وخاصا للفنانين القطريين في مجال الفن التشكيلي.
وأوضح أن المعرض يضم 30 عملا فنيا لــ 14 فنانا وفنانة قطريين، ويتناول ثلاثة أجيال تقريبا من عام 1960 لغاية 2023، وهنالك بعض الأعمال التجريدية والواقعية ومنها ما هو متخصص بالتراث والفن الإسلامي، بالإضافة إلى العديد من المجالات الأخرى.
وعبرت الفنانة التشكيلية مريم الملا في تصريح مماثل لـ “قنا” عن سعادتها بالمشاركة في معرض الفن التشكيلي القطري، مشيرة إلى أن المعرض يتميز بأنه دائم ومفتوح باستمرار لمشاركة الفنانين من مختلف الأجيال من الرواد وجيل الوسط وجيل الشباب، حيث تتغير اللوحات وتتاح فرص لفنانين آخرين.
وأكدت أهمية هذا المعرض في إظهار قدرات الفنانين الفنية وإبداعاتهم، والاستفادة أيضا من الخبرات والتنوع في المدارس الفنية.
وتأتي إقامة كتارا لمعرض الفن التشكيلي القطري في إطار حرصها الدائم على رفد الساحة التشكيلية بأعمال فنية واعدة، علاوة على دعم الفنانين القطريين، من أجل إثراء المشهد ومواكبة أصحاب الذائقة الفنية.
