IFP Qatar announces details of 19th edition of Project Qatar

• Exhibition will host over 325 exhibitors from25 countries
• Various activities will be held including an exhibition, conferences and training workshops, with the participation of an unprecedented number of international delegations visiting the event

Qatar, May 22, 2023: IFP Qatar, the leading trade fair and conferences organiser in Qatar, announced details of the 19th edition of Project Qatar (PQ), the nation’s largest and most prominent construction exhibition. This year’s event will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and with the support of The Ministry of Commerce and Industry and in partnership with Public Works Authority (Ashghal), from May 29 to June 1, 2023, at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The details of the event were announced during a press conference held by the company at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel, which was attended by a number of representatives of sponsors from the public and private sectors.

Haidar Mshaimesh, General Manager of IFP Qatar announced that this year’s edition of Project Qatar will host over 325 exhibitors from 25 different countries adding that: “Qatar’s construction industry presents enormous prospects, particularly under the Qatar National Vision (QNV) 2030, the government’s strategic growth plan. The framework intends to transform Qatar into a self-sustaining diverse economy that is less dependent on oil. The 19th edition of Project Qatar is expected to play a significant role in achieving the goals of QNV 2030 by highlighting regional products and the importance of Qatari industry to the national economy. With the assistance of the government, the event presents several opportunities for local and foreign contractors to expand across Qatar. In addition, there will be great possibilities for Qatar to attract foreign direct investments. We are excited to meet top exhibitors and visitors from around the world who will be offering cutting-edge solutions for the industry.”

Engineer Jarallah Mohamed Al-Marri, Director of the Building Projects Department at Ashghal, the strategic partner of the exhibition, said: “The Public Works Authority is participating in Project Qatar exhibition with a special pavilion for the seventh year in a row, through which it is displaying the achievements of the authority in infrastructure projects. For his part, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sada, Director of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer and Public Relations Department at the Qatari Diar Company, developer of the Lusail City project, one of the most important achievements in the development process witnessed by the State of Qatar, said: “Qatari Diar is participating for the second year in a row as a sponsor of real estate development in the exhibition. This participation is based on the successful participation last year, as we hope that this session will be an opportunity for us to present our latest and most prominent projects around the world to the audience, especially regional and international visitors, many of whom we had the opportunity to meet in last year’s session.”

25 countries are participating in this year’s session, eight of which are represented by official national pavilions, which are led by Kuwait’s Public Authority for Industry, Italy’s Italian Trade Agency (ITA), Turkey’s Ministry of Commerce, and Iran’s Trade Development Organisation (TDO). TPO), along with China, Russia, India, and Pakistan. The exhibition will also welcome international delegations from several countries, including the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Turkey, Iran, India, China, and others.

On a local level, this year also highlights the participation of Suhail Industrial Holding Group, the largest industrial company in the Qatari private sector, as an industrial partner for the second year in a row.

Shadi Afif, Chief Development Officer at the Suhail Industrial Holding Group, said, “The company is moving at an accelerated pace and confidence derived from the state’s support for the industrial sector towards self-sufficiency to meet all the requirements of government agencies and the Qatari market on its own, and Suhail Holding Group is moving towards new horizons of existing industrial production. This year’s Project Qatar will present Qatar’s Industrial Manufacturing sector to the event’s international audience in accordance with QNV 2030 as part of the effort to broaden the audience and promote products of local manufacturers. Since the industrial manufacturing sector has seen considerable local expansion over the years. The exhibition also addresses the future of the construction sector in Qatar, by highlighting technological innovations that play an important role in the future within the ‘Smart Cities’ pavilion, which includes a number of advanced technology providers with multiple uses in construction projects.

As a major platform for Qatar’s construction industry, Project Qatar 2023 will also introduce four specific conferences. The first edition of Q INDUSTRY, a conference that promotes domestic production and manufacturing of materials and equipment vital to the construction industry, as well as the second editions of Q Invest, and Q TECH, along with the ninth edition of Q GREEN’s ninth edition, will be held during the exhibition.

الدوحة، 22 مايو 2023: كشفت “الشركة الدولية للمعارض – قطر” (IFP Qatar)، الشركة الرائدة في مجال تنظيم المعارض والمؤتمرات التجارية في قطر، عن تفاصيل فعاليات الدورة التاسعة عشرة من معرض “بروجكت قطر”، أكبر وأبرز معرض لمواد ومعدات وتقنيات البناء والإنشاءات في دولة قطر، والتي ستقام تحت رعاية معالي الشيخ محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني، رئيس مجلس الوزراء، ووزير الخارجية، وبدعم من وزارة التجارة والصناعة، وبالشراكة مع هيئة الأشغال العامة (أشغال)، في الفترة من 29 مايو إلى 1 يونيو في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات. جاء ذلك خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقدته الشركة في منتجع ومركز مؤتمرات الشيراتون شارك فيه إلى جانب الشركة المنظمة عدد من ممثلي الجهات الراعية من القطاعين العام والخاص.

وأعلن حيدر مشيمش، مدير عام الشركة الدولية للمعارض-قطر، عن مشاركة أكثر من 325 شركة عارضة من 25 دولة مختلفة في دورة هذا العام، لافتاً إلى أنّ “قطاع البناء والإنشاءات القطري يوفر فرصاً هائلة، لاسيما في إطار “رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030” باعتبارها خطة النمو الاستراتيجية للحكومة القطرية والرامية للمضي في مسيرة تحول دولة قطر إلى اقتصاد متنوع قائم على الاكتفاء الذاتي وأقل اعتماداً على النفط”، مؤكّداً أنّه “من المتوقع أن تلعب النسخة التاسعة عشرة من “بروجكت قطر” دوراً مهماً في تحقيق أهداف رؤية قطر من خلال تسليط الضوء على السلع والمواد التي تنتجها المنطقة، وأهمية قطاع البناء والإنشاءات القطري للاقتصاد الوطني. ومن خلال الدعم الحكومي، يقدم الحدث العديد من الفرص لشركات المقاولات الوطنية والأجنبية للتوسع في السوق القطري، ويسهم في زيادة زخم تدفقات الاستثمارات الأجنبية المباشرة إلى دولة قطر. ونتطلع إلى استقبال الزائرين، ولقاء كبار العارضين من أنحاء العالم الذين سيقدمون حلولاً متطورة لقطاع البناء والإنشاءات في المنطقة.”

وقال المهندس جارالله محمد المري، مدير إدارة مشاريع المباني بهيئة الأشغال العامة، الشريك الإستراتيجي للمعرض: ” تشارك هيئة الأشغال العامة في معرض بروجكت قطر بجناح خاص للسنة السابعة على التوالي تستعرض من خلاله إنجازات الهيئة في مشاريع البنية التحتية. وتأتي شراكة الهيئة الإستراتيجية مع بروجكت قطر ضمن رؤية الهيئة لتعزيز التواصل والشراكة مع مختلف شركات القطاع الخاص التي تساهم في تنفيذ المشروعات في الدولة، ونتطلّع ليكون المعرض فرصة للقاء أوسع مجموعة من الإستشاريين والمقاولين والموردين الذين يمكن للهيئة التعاون معهم في المستقبل.”

من جهته، قال أحمد محمد السادة، مدير مكتب الرئيس التنفيذي وإدارة العَلاقات العامة في شركة الديار القطرية المطورة لمشروع مدينة لوسيل التي تعد أحد أهم الإنجازات في مسيرة التنمية التي تشهدها دولة قطر: “تشارك شركة الديار القطرية للسنة الثانية على التوالي كراعي التطوير العقاري في معرض بروجكت قطر. وتأتي هذه المشاركة تأسيساً على المشاركة الناجحة العام الماضي، حيث نأمل أن تشكّل دورة هذا العام فرصة لنا لعرض أحدث وأبرز مشاريعنا حول العالم لجمهور المعرض، خصوصاً الزوار الإقليميين والدوليين الذين كانت لنا فرصة لقاء العديد منهم في دورة العام الماضي.”

وبالحديث عن الحضور الدولي في المعرض، تشارك في دورة هذه السنة 25 دولةـ، تتمثّل ثمانية منها بأجنحة وطنية رسمية، هي الكويت بقيادة الهيئة العامة للصناعة، وإيطاليا بقيادة وكالة التجارة الإيطالية (ITA)، وتركيا برعاية وزارة التجارة، وإيران بدعم من منظمة تنمية التجارة (TPO)، والصين، وروسيا، والهند، وباكستان. كذلك سيرحّب المعرض بوفود دولية زائرة من دول عدّة من بينها دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي، وتركيا، وإيران، والهند، والصين، وغيرها.

أمّا على الصعيد المحلي، تبرز هذه السنة أيضاً مشاركة مجموعة سهيل الصناعية القابضة، أكبر شركة صناعية في القطاع الخاص القطري كشريك صناعي للسنة الثانية على التوالي. وقال شادي عفيف، مدير تطوير الأعمال في مجوعة سهيل الصناعية القابضة أنّ ” الشركة تمضي بخطى متسارعة وثقة مستمدة من دعم الدولة للقطاع الصناعي نحو الإكتفاء الذاتي لتلبية جميع متطلبات الجهات الحكومية والسوق القطري إعتماداً على النفس، وتسير مجموعة سهيل القابضة نحو آفاق جديدة من الإنتاج الصناعي القائم على إعادة تدوير المعادن، إحياء لثروة مهدرة ناتجة عن الطفرة التي تشهدها الدولة من مشاريع الإنشاء والبنية التحتية، واستغلالاً لمخلفات المشاريع المعدنية بصورة مثالية، لإنتاج وتزويد السوق بكل ما يحتاجه من منتجات معدنية وبلاستيكية كانت تستورد من الخارج وبعضها لم يكن يصنع في قطر، إلا أنه في الوقت الراهن بات يصنع بنسبة 100 % بأياد قطرية.”

ويقدم “بروجكت قطر” هذا العام قطاع الصناعات القطري للجمهور الدولي للمعرض ضمن منطقة عرض مخصّصة تحمل عنوان “صناعات قطر”، تماشياً مع “رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030″، وفي إطار الجهود المبذولة للوصول إلى جمهور أوسع والترويج لمنتجات المصنعين المحليين. وسيركز الحدث بشكل أكبر على الإنجازات الكبيرة التي حققتها دولة قطر على صعيد توسع قطاع الصناعات المحلية خلال السنوات الماضية. كما ويخاطب المعرض بشكل خاص في هذه الدورة مستقبل قطاع البناء في قطر، من خلال تسليط الضوء على الإبتكارات التكنولوجية التي ستؤدّي دوراً مهمّاً في مستقبل القطاع ضمن جناح “المدن الذكية” الذي يضم عدداً من مزوّدي التقنيات المتقدّمة ذات الإستخدامات المتعدّدة في مشاريع البناء.

وتعليقاً على مشاركتهم الأولى كراع ماسي للمعرض، قال عماد تشن، المدير العام لشركة Midea العالمية الرائدة في مجال الإلكترونيات الاستهلاكية والتجهيزات الكهربائية المنزلية: “إنّ شركة Midea دائماً ما تبحث عن شراكات على أعلى المستويات، ولذلك كانت شراكتنا العالمية مع نادي مانشستر سيتي، أحد أفضل أندية كرة القدم في العالم على سبيل المثال. لذا، عندما قررنا أن نكون شركاء لمعرض تجاري في قطر، كان من الطبيعي أن يكون الخيار هو بروجكت قطر بالنظر إلى السمعة العريقة التي يتمتع بها هذا المعرض، لا في قطر فحسب، بل على مستوى المنطقة، والذي يوفر منصة مميزة لشركة Midea العالمية لعرض تقنياتها المتطورة و حلولها الشاملة.”

كذلك، قال يزن مصطفى، الرئيس التنفيذي للعمليات – القسم التجاري والصناعي في شركة عبد الله عبد الغني وإخوانه: “نشارك في معرض بروجكت قطر هذه السنة لتسليط الضوء على مجموعة من المنتجات التي توفرها الشركة لمواقع البناء من أرقى العلامات التجارية العالمية، ونتطلع للقاء أوسع شريحة من العملاء من زوار المعرض.”

وإلى جانب المعرض، سيغطي المؤتمر الذي سيقام على مدى أربعة أيام على أهم القضايا التي تعني قطاع البناء والإنشاءات في قطر، حيث سيخصّص كل يوم لواحد من هذه القضايا، إذ يغطي اليوم الأول الذي يحمل عنوان Q Invest أبرز الفرص الإستثمارية المتاحة في القطاع في قطر، فيما يغطي اليوم الثاني الذي يحمل عنوان Q Industry العناوين المرتبطة بتطوير الصناعة والإنتاج المحلي، أمّا اليوم الثالث الذي يحمل عنوان Q Tech، فسيكون مخصصاً لبحث دور التكنولوجيا الذكية في قطاع البناء، على أن يعالج اليوم الرابع الذي يحمل عنوان Q Green التحديات البيئية وقضية الإستدامة والبناء الأخضر.
