QIIB Awarded PCI-DSS Certification for Eighth Consecutive Year

Doha: For the eighth consecutive year, QIIB has been awarded the highest certification in cyber security and protection of bank cards data- Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)- granted by SISA company to banking institutions with the best security standards and protection for their customers’ information.

On this occasion, Mohammad Jamil Ahmad Hamad, the Chief Risk Officer at QIIB, said, “QIIB’s award of the PCI-DSS certification for the eighth consecutive year reflects our continuous investment in cybersecurity solutions and adoption of the best-known technology in the banking sector. We are committed to achieving global standards in the field of cyber security in terms of software, infrastructure, training, and attraction of qualified experts.” He added, “QIIB’s success in achieving the required standards for obtaining this certification is translated in the huge progress made by the bank in the field of digital transformation, as it continues to invest in its digital solutions in parallel with its increased investment in security and protection solutions for all its operations and customers’ information, and it reflects the bank’s investment in combating cybercrime, hacking and Cyber fraud”.

QIIB has succeeded in establishing an advanced technological infrastructure and various alternative channels to enhance its banking services taking it to a new level, which contributed in strengthening its role in the banking market and meeting the needs of customers in accordance with the best international standards.

الدوحة: حصل بنك قطر الدولي الإسلامي /الدولي الاسلامي/ للمرة الثامنة على التوالي على شهادة (PCI-DSS)، وهي أرفع شهادة في مجال الأمن السيبراني وحماية بيانات البطاقات المصرفية.

وتمنح هذه الشهادة من قبل شركة /SISA/ العالمية للمؤسسات والبنوك المتخصصة في المعايير الأمنية لحماية معلومات العملاء.

وقال السيد محمد جميل أحمد حمد رئيس قطاع المخاطر بالدولي الإسلامي في تعليق له:” إن حصولنا على شهادة (PCI-DSS) للسنة الثامنة على التوالي يؤكد مواصلة البنك الاستثمار في حلول الأمن السيبراني واعتماد أفضل التكنولوجيا المتاحة في القطاع المصرفي والتزامه بتحقيق المعايير العالمية في مجال الأمن السيبراني وتطويرها، سواء في البرمجيات أو البنية التحتية أ والتدريب أو من خلال استقطاب الخبراء ذوي الكفاءة”.

وأضاف :”يعكس تمكننا من تحقيق معايير الحصول على هذه الجائزة التقدم الكبير الذي حققه الدولي الإسلامي في مجال التحول الرقمي، حيث يستثمر البنك في حلوله الرقمية بجانب زيادة الاستثمار في حلول الأمان والحماية لجميع عملياته ومعلومات العملاء، كما يعكس التزام البنك بمكافحة الجرائم السيبرانية ومحاولات الاختراقات والاحتيال السيبراني”.
