QC Chairman: Construction Sector Continues to Grow Supported by Economic Expansion

Doha: HE Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani said that the Qatari market has become an attractive market for many international brands, pointing out that the opening of this showroom confirms the confidence of investors in the Qatari market and their eagerness to expand their business in the local market.

This came during his inauguration of the Al Jabor Trading Showroom, which features many international brands from Germany, Britain, Turkey, Italy and Spain for tools and products related to construction, building equipment, residential and hotel projects.

Following the inauguration, His Excellency toured the showroom and was briefed on its products and international brands.

Commenting on the showroom opening, His Excellency stressed the Chamber’s keenness to support the Qatari private sector and encourage bringing companies and investments to the local market, indicating that the construction sector in Qatar is one of the promising sectors that witnessed great growth in the past years and is expected to continue its growth, especially with the economic expansion that the country is currently witnessing.

For his part, Managing Director of Al Jabor Trading Sheikh Nawaf bin Jabor Al-Thani said that the new showroom will meet the increasing demand for building materials, especially with the increase in construction projects, pointing out that the company has brought many international commercial agencies from Germany, Britain, Turkey, Spain, USA, France, Italy, and others, in line with the great development witnessed by the construction market in Qatar.

He said that the Al Jabor Trading was founded in the 1960s, indicating that its portfolio includes five main sectors: building materials, special building materials, sanitary wares, swimming pools, and dewatering, noting that the building material market in Qatar is one of the most competitive markets in the region and attracts a lot of investments.

الدوحة: أكد سعادة الشيخ خليفة بن جاسم آل ثاني رئيس مجلس إدارة غرفة قطر حرص الغرفة على دعم القطاع الخاص القطري، وتشجيع جلب الشركات والاستثمارات إلى السوق المحلي، لافتا إلى أن قطاع البناء والتشييد في قطر يعد من القطاعات الواعدة والتي شهدت نموا كبيرا في السنوات الماضية ومن المتوقع أن تواصل نموها خصوصا مع التوسع الاقتصادي الذي تشهده الدولة حاليا.

جاء ذلك خلال افتتاحه لمعرض شركة الجبر التجارية والذي يضم العديد من العلامات التجارية العالمية للأدوات المتعلقة بالبناء وتجهيزات المباني والمشروعات السكنية والفندقية، حيث تعزز هذه المنتجات تواجدها في السوق المحلي، وتضم علامات تجارية من ألمانيا وبريطانيا وتركيا، وإسبانيا، وإيطاليا، وغيرها.

وقال سعادته خلال جولته في المعرض إن السوق القطري أصبح سوقا جاذبا للعلامات التجارية العالمية، لافتا إلى أن افتتاح هذا معرض يؤكد ثقة المستثمرين بالسوق القطري وحرصهم على توسيع أعمالهم في السوق المحلي.

ومن جانبه قال الشيخ نواف بن جبر آل ثاني المدير التنفيذي لمجموعة الجبر، إن المعرض الجديد سوف يسهم في تلبية الطلب المتزايد على المواد الخاصة بالبناء خصوصا مع تزايد المشروعات الإنشائية، لافتا إلى أن الشركة قامت بجلب العديد من الوكالات التجارية العالمية من ألمانيا وبريطانيا وتركيا وإسبانيا وأمريكا وفرنسا وإيطاليا وغيرها، وذلك تماشيا مع التطور الكبير الذي يشهده سوق البناء في قطر.

وأشار إلى أن شركة الجبر التجارية تأسست منذ حوالي 50 عاما وتضم محفظتها 5 قطاعات رئيسية هي: مواد البناء، ومواد البناء الخاصة، والأدوات الصحية، وحمامات السباحة، وعمليات نزح المياه، لافتا إلى أن سوق مواد البناء القطري يعد من الأسواق المنافسة على مستوى المنطقة، كما أنه يشهد تنافسا كبيرا وهو سوق جاذب للاستثمارات.
