8 Digital Fabrication Labs to be established soon in Various Public Schools

Doha: Qatar Scientific Club embarks on establishing eight digital fabrication laboratories in several public schools with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE).

The laboratories aim to increase the number of innovators and attract the scientific talents that are willing to opt for scientific disciplines in universities, in addition to supplying the needs of the labor market from the required and qualified Qatari innovative young cadres.

Administrative and Financial Director of the Qatar Scientific Club Fatima Al Mohannadi said the club prioritized the establishment of the scientific laboratories to be further equipped with high-performance technologies, such as digital fabrication lab, robotic fabrication lab, artificial intelligence (AI), business innovative incubators, engineering design corner, electronics and communications lab, implementation and assembly of projects, and a library of materials to achieve progress in the fields of research, sciences and innovation in the State of Qatar in collaboration with the relevant enterprises.

In addition, Qatar Scientific Club seeks to encourage innovative thinking and achieve a sustainable future for innovative youth, in addition to increasing the awareness of the role of research and innovation in exploring the solutions for the challenges facing individuals and institutions, as well as preparing effective, responsible and patriotic Qatari young people, in pursuit of achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

الدوحة: يعكف النادي العلمي القطري على إنشاء 8 مختبرات تصنيع رقمي في عدد من المدارس الحكومية، بدعم من وزارة الرياضة والشباب، وبالتعاون مع وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي؛ بهدف زيادة عدد المبدعين واستقطاب المواهب العلمية الراغبة في اختيار تخصصات علمية في الجامعات.

كما يهدف إنشاء المختبرات أيضا إلى مد سوق العمل بالاحتياجات المطلوبة والمؤهلة من الشباب القطري المبدع.

وقالت السيدة فاطمة المهندي رئيس لجنة المبتكر الواعد ومدير الشؤون الإدارية والمالية في النادي العلمي القطري: إن النادي العلمي القطري وضع ضمن أولوياته تجهيز المختبرات العلمية بتجهيزات وتقنيات عالية الأداء، مثل: مختبر تصنيع رقمي، ومختبر روبوت وذكاء اصطناعي، وحاضنة أعمال ابتكارية، وركن للتصميم الهندسي، ومختبر الإلكترونيات والاتصالات، وركن لتنفيذ وتجميع المشاريع، ومكتبة للمواد؛ وذلك بهدف تحقيق التقدم في مجالات البحوث والعلوم والابتكار في دولة قطر مع المؤسسات ذات الصلة.

ويسعى النادي العلمي القطري إلى تشجيع التفكير الإبداعي، وتحقيق مستقبل مستدام للشباب المبدع، هذا إلى جانب زيادة الوعي بدور البحث والابتكار في إيجاد حلول للتحديات التي تواجه الأفراد والمؤسسات، وإعداد شباب قطري فاعل ومسؤول ذي حس وطني؛ تحقيقا لغايات وأهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
