Expected number of fasting hours on the first day of Ramadan

Doha: According to the accurate astronomical calculations conducted by the specialists of the Qatari Calendar House, Thursday, corresponding to March 23, is the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1444 AH astronomically, and that Wednesday, March 22, will complete the month of Sha`ban for this year, God willing.
It is expected that the number of fasting hours will be about 14 hours on the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan in most Arab countries, including Qatar, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, as well as Turkey and Iran, with a few minutes more or less in different countries. The first day of the blessed month of Ramadan for this year 2023 will be the shortest in the number of fasting hours, and then it will gradually increase, according to Al-Jazeera.
It is also expected astronomically that the number of days for the month of Ramadan this year will be 29 days, as the first day of the holy month begins on Thursday, March 23, and continues for a period of 29 days, after which Eid Al-Fitr comes on Friday, corresponding to April 21, 2023.

الدوحة: طبقًا للحسابات الفلكية الدقيقة التي أجراها المختصون بدار التقويم القطري فإن يوم الخميس الموافق 23 مارس الجاري، هو غرة شهر رمضان المبارك لعام 1444هـ فلكيًّا، وأن الأربعاء 22 مارس الجاري هو المتمم لشهر شعبان لهذا العام بمشيئة الله تعالى.
ويتوقع أن يكون عدد ساعات الصيام نحو 14 ساعة في أول أيام شهر رمضان المبارك في غالبية الدول العربية، بما فيها قطر ومصر والسعودية والإمارات والكويت والبحرين وسلطنة عمان والأردن وسوريا ولبنان وفلسطين، وكذلك تركيا وإيران، يزيد أو ينقص بضع دقائق في هذا البلد أو ذاك. وسيكون اليوم الأول من شهر رمضان المبارك لهذا العام 2023 الأقصر في عدد ساعات الصيام، ثم تزداد بعد ذلك تدريجيا بحسب الجزيرة.
كما يُتوقع فلكيا أن يكون عدد أيام شهر رمضان لهذا العام 29 يوما، إذ يبدأ أول أيام الشهر الفضيل يوم الخميس 23 مارس المقبل، ويستمر لمدة 29 يوما ليأتي بعدها عيد الفطر يوم الجمعة الموافق يوم 21 أبريل 2023.
