Qatar Chamber Elected as WCF General Council Member

Doha: HE Director of International Relations and Chamber Affairs at Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Secretary-General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar Sheikha Tamader Al-Thani, was elected as a World Chambers Federation (WCF) General Council Member, commencing from 2023 – 2025.
HE Sheikha Tamader was elected by the WCF’s chamber members, who took to the AwardStage platform to cast their votes for 20 candidates from Nov. 18, 2022 to Dec. 6, 2022.
HE Sheikha Tamader was among the 37 highly competitive pool of candidates and chamber leaders from 37 countries, covering every region of the world, who submitted their candidacy to serve on the WCF General Council and expressed readiness and commitment to protect the role of chambers of commerce and support the WCF in its role of representing the global interests of chambers within the ICC.
The WCF General Council is the governing body that sets the strategic direction and development of WCF’s services. It is part of the World Chambers Federation (WCF), a unique branch of the ICC that connects, leads and inspires the global network of chambers and their respective business communities.
It represents the interest of over 1,400 chambers from around the world.
The WCF also strengthens links among chambers and helps individual chambers better serve their business communities.

الدوحة: انتخبت سعادة الشيخة تماضر آل ثاني، مدير العلاقات الدولية وشؤون الغرف المشتركة في غرفة قطر والأمين العام لغرفة التجارة الدولية قطر، في عضوية المجلس العام لاتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي (WCF) وذلك للفترة من 2023 وحتى 2025.
وتم انتخاب سعادة الشيخة تماضر من قبل أعضاء غرف التجارة الأعضاء في اتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي من خلال منصة خاصة للإدلاء بأصواتهم لصالح 20 مرشحا من بين 37 يمثلون غرف التجارة في 37 دولة حول العالم .
وجرت المنافسة بين المرشحين بهدف خدمة مجلس اتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي والاستعداد والالتزام بحماية دور غرف التجارة ودعم المجلس في دوره الهادف إلى تمثيل المصالح العالمية لغرف التجارة ضمن إطار غرفة التجارة الدولية ICC.
ويعد المجلس العام لاتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي هو الهيئة الحاكمة التي تحدد الاتجاهات الاستراتيجية والتطويرية لخدمات اتحاد غرف التجارة العالمي ويتكون المجلس العام من شبكة عالمية تهدف إلى ربط وقيادة والهام الشبكة العالمية لغرف التجارة ومجتمعات الأعمال المعنية بها.
كما يمثل المجلس أكثر من 1400 غرفة تجارية حول العالم مما يعزز الروابط بين غرف التجارة ويساعد كل غرفة في تقديم خدمات أفضل في مجتمع الأعمال الخاص بها.
