Doha: In celebration of its 4th anniversary, the National Museum of Qatar has launched its NMoQ Explorer, developed in collaboration with Microsoft. The NMoQ Explorer is an interactive space dedicated to representing its collections and experiences virtually.
The NMoQ Explorer is a custom-developed solution, designed to mirror the immersive interactive approach of the National Museum of Qatar. Qatar Museum’s star pilot open access and online collections project maps objects to periods to sites, in a novel mapping approach powered by fully scalable knowledge mining tool with Artificial intelligence. This approach allows for interconnected experience, seamlessly transitioning between space, time and objects.
Users will soon be able to browse the content in any language through a multilingual chatbot, launching later this year.
By offering online interactive virtual experiences, NMOQ transcends borders between the real and the virtual, opening the museum to diverse audiences, both locally and internationally. Furthermore, it provides a unique educational resource for students of all levels.
Deputy CEO of Qatar Museums and Director of the National Museum of Qatar Sheikha Amna bint Abdulaziz Al-Thani stated, “Our innovative online interactive version of our museum and its artefacts is the first project of its kind in Qatar. We have pushed the boundaries of what technology can do for museums online presence. This co-innovation partnership speaks to QM’s commitment to interdisciplinary and community integration and engagement. الدوحة: أطلق متحف قطر الوطني /NMoQ Explorer ـ المتحف الافتراضي/ الذي تم تطويره بالتعاون مع شركة مايكروسوفت، ليوفر تجربة تفاعلية عبر الإنترنت تسمح باستعراض مجموعته المتنوعة من المقتنيات التراثية الغنية والقطع الأثرية النفيسة.
تم تصميم /NMoQ Explorer/، والذي يتزامن إطلاقه مع الاحتفال بالذكرى الرابعة لتأسيس متحف قطر الوطني، ليعكس النهج التفاعلي الغامر الذي تمتاز به بيئة المتحف، ويستعرض بأدق التفاصيل المقتنيات النفيسة للمتحف مع خريطة لأهم المواقع الأثرية في البلاد والعصور التاريخية وتقسيماتها الزمنية وأهم الأدوات التي تميز كلا منها، وذلك وفق نهج تصنيف جديد مدعوم بأداة بحث معرفية قابلة للتطوير بالكامل بفضل تقنية الذكاء الاصطناعي.. وبهذا، يتيح المتحف الافتراضي، والذي يمكن للجميع دون استثناء زيارته والتجول في صفحاته، تجربة تواصل مبتكرة مع الزوار تنتقل بهم بسلاسة بين المكان والزمان والأشياء.
ومع الإطلاق المرتقب للنسخة الافتراضية من متحف قطر الوطني NMoQ Explorer، سيتمكن المستخدمون من تصفح المحتوى بأي لغة من خلال برنامج الدردشة الآلي (chatbot) متعدد اللغات.
ومن خلال تقديم تجارب افتراضية تفاعلية عبر الإنترنت، يتجاوز المتصفح الحدود المعتادة بين العالمين الواقعي والافتراضي، ويفتح فضاء المتحف أمام جماهير متنوعة، على الصعيدين المحلي والدولي، كما يوفر موردا تعليميا فريدا من نوعه للطلاب.
وبمناسبة إطلاق المتصفح الجديد، قالت سعادة الشيخة آمنة بنت عبدالعزيز آل ثاني نائب الرئيس التنفيذي بالوكالة للمتاحف والمقتنيات وحماية التراث، ومدير متحف قطر الوطني، إن النسخة التفاعلية المبتكرة عبر الإنترنت لمتحف قطر الوطني ومقتنياته الأثرية هي المشروع الأول من نوعه في قطر.
وأضافت: “كرسنا من خلال هذا المشروع قدرات التكنولوجيا الذكية لتعزيز تجربة زيارة المتاحف على الإنترنت. ويؤكد هذا الابتكار المشترك التزام متحف قطر الوطني بالاندماج مع المجتمعات والمشاركة المجتمعية، ويهدف إلى تسريع تحقيق رؤيتنا المتمثلة في أن نكون متحفا ذا أثر خالد، وأن نشارك جمهورنا منصة جديدة للمشاركة والتعلم”.
من جانبها، أعربت لانا خلف مدير عام مايكروسوفت قطر، عن فخرها بالشراكة مع متاحف قطر لدعم إحياء تراث قطر وثقافتها الغنية وتعريف العالم بها بطريقة مبتكرة، مشيرة إلى أن مفهوم زيارة المتحف تغير، لا سيما بعد أن ساهمت قدرات الذكاء الاصطناعي وتعلم الآلة المتاحة على (Azure) في خلق تجربة استكشاف أكثر حيوية وإثراء، فضلا عن تطوير آليات البحث والتعلم.
