QF’s Siraj TV Series Launches Special Ramadan Edition

Doha: Qatar Foundation’s edutainment TV series “Siraj” is set to launch a special Ramadan edition for children in Qatar and the Arab world. The new episodes will air on 24 March and continue throughout Ramadan – on Friday and Saturday of each week and can be watched on Qatar TV. Each episode will also be posted on the Siraj YouTube channel making it easier for families to watch and enjoy the show together.

Rashid and Noura, the beloved characters from the animated TV series Siraj, will take children on an enjoyable and educational journey full of moral and good values. This will provide a unique opportunity for children to engage in a fun and interactive learning experience that aligns with the spirit of Ramadan.

The upcoming Ramadan series seeks to educate children about various Islamic values through engaging storytelling with eight episodes showcasing the stories of the Prophets, and aiming to promote the Arabic language, local culture, and Islamic values making it a valuable resource for parents and their children.

The series will cover a range of topics, including the stories of Prophet Musa, Prophet Yousef, Prophet Mohammed, Prophet Noah, Prophet Suliman, Prophet Shuaib, Prophet Mohammed Prophet Dawood and Prophet Suliman. Each episode will highlight a specific moral value, such as helping others, Tolerance, Animal welfare, Patience, Responsibility, Honesty, Humility, and Justice.

“The Ramadan edition of Siraj is an exciting and engaging educational journey for children that brings together the values of Ramadan, and the rich culture and heritage of the Arab world. Through Siraj, viewers can expect to be transported into the world of the Prophets and learn about important moral values such as honesty, patience, and responsibility. Also, with each episode, the series aims to promote the Arabic language, local culture, and Islamic values,” said Sara Al Hajri, Associate Director of Culture ,Heritage and Identity in the Education Development Institute of Qatar Foundation’s Pre-University Education (PUE).

Al Hajri noted that by highlighting the stories of the Prophets, the series offers a unique perspective on the challenges facing our world today, and provides a valuable resource for parents and their children to learn and grow together.

“Siraj’s Ramadan series aims to have a significant impact on children’s understanding of Islamic values helping them to build a strong moral foundation that will serve them well throughout their lives. By presenting the stories of the Prophets in an engaging and interactive way, we hope to inspire children to embody important values.” she added.

Al Hajri also explained that while the show is primarily aimed at children, its messages and themes relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, saying: “The Prophets have always been a source of guidance and inspiration for people, offering valuable lessons and insights into how to navigate the challenges of life.

“We believe that this impact will extend beyond Ramadan, as children will carry these values with them into their daily lives, strengthening their relationships with their families, communities, and the wider world. Ultimately, we hope that this series will contribute to creating a better and more compassionate society,” she said.

الدوحة: أطلق /سراج/، المسلسل التلفزيوني الترفيهي التابع لمؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، نسخته الرمضانية الخاصة للأطفال في قطر والعالم العربي، حيث يبدأ بث حلقاته الجديدة يوم بعد غد /الجمعة/ 24 مارس الجاري، وتستمر طوال شهر رمضان المبارك، وذلك يومي الجمعة والسبت من كل أسبوع.

وبصحبة الشخصيات المحبوبة من مسلسل الرسوم المتحركة /سراج/، نورة وراشد، سينطلق الأطفال في رحلة تعليمية ماتعة عبر القيم الأخلاقية الحميدة، حيث ستوفر هذه النسخة من البرنامج فرصة فريدة للأطفال للانخراط في تجربة تعليمية تفاعلية تتماشى مع الدروس التي يستقيها الأطفال من شهر رمضان الفضيل.

وتسعى حلقات /سراج/ الرمضانية إلى تثقيف الأطفال حول القيم الإسلامية المختلفة من خلال ثماني حلقات تستعرض قصص الأنبياء عليهم السلام، وتهدف إلى تعزيز اللغة العربية والثقافة المحلية والقيم الإسلامية، مما يجعلها موردا قيما لأولياء الأمور وأبنائهم.

وتغطي هذه الحلقات مجموعة من الموضوعات، بما في ذلك قصص النبي محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم، والنبي موسى، والنبي يوسف، والنبي نوح، والنبي سليمان، والنبي شعيب، والنبي داوود، والنبي سليمان عليهم السلام، وستسلط كل حلقة الضوء على قيمة أخلاقية محددة، مثل: مساعدة الآخرين، والتسامح، والرأفة بالحيوانات، والصبر، والمسؤولية، والصدق، والتواضع، والعدالة.

وقالت سارة الهاجري، المدير المساعد لوحدة الثقافة والتراث والهوية، في معهد التطوير التربوي، التابع للتعليم ما قبل الجامعي بمؤسسة قطر في تصريح لها بالمناسبة: إن النسخة الرمضانية من /سراج/ هي رحلة تعليمية ماتعة وجذابة للأطفال، تجمع بين قيم رمضان وثقافة وتراث العالم العربي، ومن خلال هذه السلسلة، يمكن للمشاهدين الانتقال إلى عالم الأنبياء، والتعرف على المزيد من القيم الأخلاقية الأساسية مثل الصدق والصبر والمسؤولية، كما يهدف البرنامج مع كل حلقة إلى تعزيز اللغة العربية والثقافة المحلية والقيم الإسلامية.

وأشارت إلى أنه من خلال تسليط الضوء على قصص الأنبياء تقدم السلسلة منظورا فريدا للتحديات التي تواجه عالمنا اليوم، وتوفر موردا قيما للآباء وأطفالهم للتعلم والتطوير معا.

ونوهت إلى أن حلقات برنامج سراج الرمضانية تهدف إلى إحداث تأثير كبير في فهم الأطفال للقيم الإسلامية، ومساعدتهم على بناء أساس أخلاقي قوي يخدمهم بشكل جيد طوال حياتهم، من خلال تقديم قصص الأنبياء بطريقة تفاعلية وجذابة، معربة عن أملها في أن يلهم ذلك الأطفال لتجسيد هذه القيم في حياتهم.
