Qatar Charity Launches 6th ‘Future’s Writers’ Program

Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) launched the sixth edition of ‘Future’s Writers’, a program designed to develop the creative writing skills of school and university students, in the presence of many partners.

The sixth edition of the program is being participated in by 228 schools, in addition to Qatar University, University of Doha for Science and Technology, Community College, and Al Noor Institute, and the Audio Education Complex.

In his opening remarks, Fareed Khaleel Al Siddieqy, Head of the Local Projects Department at Qatar Charity said, “Our interest in this program is part of our keenness to contribute to the cultural development of the country, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, strengthen our children’s relationship with their Arabic language, make them proficient in creatively expressing and writing, especially the story, and provide writers who can contribute to the development of their country and nation.” He hoped that the program will provide a greater opportunity to discover the capabilities of talented members of the community and noted that the sixth edition will pay more attention to the winners of the previous editions, shedding light on their successful experiences.

At the end of his speech, he thanked the program’s partners, who are the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Culture, the Qatari Forum for Authors, and Qatar University.

Maryam Al Hammadi, Director of the Department of Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Culture, thanked Qatar Charity for its efforts in the in this program, and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for supporting the program, which is being implemented at the level of schools and universities.

She emphasized that the Ministry of Culture encourages all bodies to organize cultural events, as they play a role in promoting cultural movement in the community and urged everyone to launch and implement more such initiatives to facilitate the right to culture for all members of the community.

Hassan Al Nuaimi from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education praised the ‘Future’s Writers’ Program. He said that there is no doubt that the Arabic language has a role to play in shaping the awareness of the community, and therefore the Ministry of Education has been taking part in the program for the sixth year in a row to enhance the creative skills and literary taste of the students.

Abdulla Hamid Al Mulla, director of the Student Activities Department at Qatar University, expressed the university’s pleasure to participate in the program, emphasizing that the program is in line with the university’s mission, which seeks to refine student abilities and discover latent talents. He added that the program also enhances student work and discovers and develops students’ creative talents, making them more able to express themselves and interact positively with the academic environment and with the labor market in the future after their graduation.

He expressed his pride in the partnership between Qatar Charity and Qatar University in this program, hoping for the success of its current edition.

الدوحة: دشنت “قطر الخيرية” النسخة السادسة من برنامج /كتاب المستقبل/، والذي يعنى بتنمية المهارات الكتابية الإبداعية لدى طلاب المدارس والجامعات، وذلك بحضور عدد من ممثلي الجهات الشريكة.

يشارك في النسخة السادسة للبرنامج 228 مدرسة من مختلف المراحل للبنين والبنات، وجامعة قطر وجامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا وكلية المجتمع، فضلا عن مجمع النور للمكفوفين ومجمع التربية السمعية.

وقال السيد فريد الصديقي رئيس قسم المشاريع المحلية في قطر الخيرية إن الاهتمام بهذا البرنامج يأتي في إطار الحرص على الإسهام في التنمية الثقافية، انسجاما مع رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، وتعزيز صلة أبنائها بلغتهم العربية، وإجادة التعبير والكتابة فيها بطريقة إبداعية وخصوصا القصة، بالإضافة إلى رفد المشهد الثقافي في قطر بكتاب واعدين، يسهمون في نهضة وطنهم وأمتهم.

وأعرب عن أمله في أن يحقق البرنامج انتشارا أوسع ليتيح فرصة أكبر لاكتشاف قدرات الموهوبين من أبناء قطر، منوها بأن النسخة السادسة ستولي مزيدا من الاهتمام بالفائزين في النسخ السابقة وتسليط الضوء على تطور تجاربهم الناجحة.

من جهتها، نوهت السيدة مريم الحمادي مدير إدارة الثقافة والفنون بوزارة الثقافة بجهود قطر الخيرية في هذا البرنامج، وبدعم وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي للبرنامج على مستوى المدارس والجامعات، مؤكدة أن وزارة الثقافة تشجع كافة الجهات على إقامة وتنظيم الفعاليات الثقافية لدورها في تعزيز الحراك الثقافي بالمجتمع، كما دعت إلى إطلاق المزيد من المبادرات لتيسير حق الثقافة لكافة أفراد المجتمع.

بدوره، أكد السيد عبدالله حامد الملا مدير إدارة الأنشطة الطلابية بجامعة قطر أن البرنامج يتوافق مع رسالة الجامعة التي تسعى لصقل المواهب الطلابية، كما يعزز البرنامج جانب العمل الطلابي، ويعمل على اكتشاف وتنمية المواهب الإبداعية للطلبة، ما يجعلهم أكثر قدرة على التعبير عن أنفسهم، والتفاعل الإيجابي مع المحيط الأكاديمي، وسوق العمل مستقبلا بعد تخرجهم.

ونوه بشراكة جامعة قطر مع قطر الخيرية في هذا البرنامج في التدريب ولجان التحكيم من خلال عدد من أساتذتها وخبرائها، معربا عن تطلعه لنجاح النسخة الحالية للبرنامج وتحقيقها لأهدافها المرجوة.
