Qatari waters rich in biodiversity

Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change’s Environmental Monitoring and Control Department has spotted a large number of deep sea marine organisms across various areas in Qatar.

The existence of these organisms indicate the high level of biodiversity on the seabed. They are also considered an important source of the marine food chain and integral to cleaning seawater from pollutants.

الدوحة: رصدت إدارة المراقبة والتحكم البيئي بوزارة البيئة وتغير المناخ عددًا كبيرًا من الكائنات البحرية في أعماق البحار في مناطق مختلفة في قطر.

ويشير وجود هذه الكائنات الحية إلى ارتفاع مستوى التنوع البيولوجي في قاع البحر. كما أنها تعتبر مصدرًا مهمًا للسلسلة الغذائية البحرية وجزءًا لا يتجزأ من تنظيف مياه البحر من الملوثات.
