Doha: Qatar National Library has announced the launch of its new mobile app, as part of its mission to deliver exceptional digital library experiences. The QNL app is designed to engage users, keep them informed about the Library’s services and provide on-the-go access to resources and information. With its seamless integrations, the app offers patrons an innovative and convenient way to connect with the Library and its resources.
The QNL app is a one-stop-shop for library members, providing quick and easy access to the Library’s vast collection of information and resources. This includes immediate access to ebooks and audiobooks, as well as newspapers and magazines from around the world. It also gives users instant access to online resources for academic purposes and for children and young adults directly on the app, without the need to login every time!
Users can also use the app to search for print books, book a room, send questions to QNL librarians, and much more. Furthermore, the app features real-time notifications, information about upcoming events, and important information, ensuring that users stay up-to-date with the latest news from the Library.
“The Library is committed to increasing access to its collections and broadening the reach of its services and this app demonstrates our commitment to engaging with the mobile community,” said Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure Nasser Al Ansari.
“We understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve when it comes to digital technology, thats why with the launch of our new mobile app, we are making it easier for patrons to access our resources and services and connect with the Library in new ways,” he added.
The Library is dedicated to promoting innovative technology for the benefit of members, increasing accessibility and transforming the way they access information and engage with the Library’s resources and services. The QNL app is free and available for download globally on iOS devices from the App Store and for Android from Google Play.

الدوحة: أعلنت مكتبة قطر الوطنية عن إطلاق تطبيقها الجديد للأجهزة الذكية، في إطار رسالتها الساعية إلى توفير بيئة استثنائية للتعلم والاستكشاف، وقد روعي في تصميمه سهولة الاستخدام وتمكين أعضاء المكتبة وروادها من الوصول إلى المعلومات والمصادر الإلكترونية، وكذلك الاستفادة من خدمات المكتبة، في أي وقت وأي مكان.
ويتميز التطبيق بالتكامل التام مع الموقع الإلكتروني للمكتبة وقواعد البيانات المعرفية ويتيح للرواد أداة مبتكرة للتواصل مع المكتبة والاستفادة من مصادر المعرفة المتنوعة والخدمات التي تزخر بها المكتبة.
يقدم التطبيق كل ما يحتاجه أعضاء المكتبة من الاطلاع السريع والسهل على مجموعة المكتبة الهائلة من المصادر المعرفية والخدمات، حيث يوفر التطبيق الوصول الفوري إلى الكتب الإلكترونية والصوتية، وكذلك مجموعة المكتبة من الصحف والمجلات من أماكن مختلفة في العالم، والمصادر الإلكترونية التي توفرها للأغراض الأكاديمية وللأطفال واليافعين، مباشرة على التطبيق دون الحاجة لتسجيل الدخول كل مرة.
كما يتيح التطبيق أيضًا إمكانية البحث عن الكتب المطبوعة المتاحة في المكتبة، وحجز غرف المطالعة، وإرسال الأسئلة إلى أخصائيي المكتبة، وغير ذلك من الخدمات، ويتضمن التطبيق خاصية إرسال الإخطارات الفورية والتحديثات حول الفعاليات المقبلة، بالإضافة إلى أحدث أخبار المكتبة ومستجداتها.
وحول التطبيق، علق السيد ناصر الأنصاري، مدير إدارة العمليات والبنية التحتية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات في مكتبة قطر الوطنية، قائلاً:” تلتزم المكتبة بتيسير وصول المستخدمين لمصادرها المعرفية وزيادة عدد المستفيدين من خدماتها، ويؤكد هذا التطبيق التزامنا بالتواصل مع مستخدمي الأجهزة الذكية وحرصنا على توصيل خدمات المكتبة ومصادر المعرفة وجعلها في متناول أيديهم”.
وأضاف قائلًا:” إدراكًا لأهمية مواكبة أحدث المستجدات في مجال التكنولوجيا الرقمية، يأتي إطلاق تطبيقنا الجديد للأجهزة الذكية، وقد حرصنا على تعزيز قدرة روادنا على استخدام مصادرنا وخدماتنا والتواصل مع المكتبة بسبل جديدة ومبتكرة”.
تكثف المكتبة جهودها لتوسيع نطاق توظيف التقنيات المبتكرة لتحسين تجربة المستخدم وتيسير الاستخدام وتطوير قنوات التواصل مع المستخدمين ووسائل الاستفادة من مصادر المكتبة وخدماتها. والتطبيق الجديد متاح مجانًا لجميع المستخدمين ومتوفر للتنزيل من أي مكان في العالم عبر متجري آب ستور وجوجل بلاي.
