Qatar Participates in 27th Muscat International Book Fair

Doha: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Culture and a number of Qatari publishing houses, will participate in the 27th edition of Muscat International Book Fair, slated for Feb. 22 to Mar. 4.
The Ministry of Culture said in a statement today that the participation in the book fair aims to present Qatari intellectual production to a wide audience and to showcase progress of the publishing industry in the State of Qatar.
The Ministry also seeks to enhance its presence in international book fairs, being an opportunity to spread Qatari books, support Qatari writers and authors, in addition to enhancing cooperation, exchanging experiences and building relationships with others in the field of culture and the publishing industry.
A number of Qatari publishing houses are participating in the book fair, such as: Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press, Dar Rosa, Dar Al Watad and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies.
Muscat International Book Fair is a major cultural platform for publishers, distributors and authors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

الدوحة: تشارك دولة قطر ممثلة بوزارة الثقافة وعدد من دور النشر القطرية، في الدورة السابعة والعشرين من معرض مسقط الدولي للكتاب، الذي ينعقد خلال الفترة من 22 فبراير وحتى 4 مارس 2023.
وذكرت وزارة الثقافة في بيان لها اليوم أن مشاركتها في معرض مسقط الدولي للكتاب، تأتي بهدف عرض الإنتاج الفكري القطري لجمهور عريض من القراء للتعرف على التطور المستمر في صناعة النشر بدولة قطر.
كما أشارت إلى أنها تسعى إلى تعزيز تواجدها في معارض الكتب الدولية كونها فرصة لنشر الكتب القطرية، ودعم الكتاب والمؤلفين القطريين، إضافة إلى تعزيز التعاون وتبادل الخبرات وبناء علاقات مع العاملين في مجال الثقافة وصناعة النشر.
ويشارك في فعاليات المعرض عدد من دور النشر القطرية مثل: “دار جامعة حمد بن خليفة” و”دار روزا” و”دار الوتد” والمركز العربي للأبحاث ودراسة السياسات.
ويشكل معرض مسقط الدولي للكتاب منصة ثقافية كبرى للناشرين والموزعين والمؤلفين من داخل سلطنة عُمان وخارجها، وستشهد الدورة الـ 27 تقديم وطرح حزمة من البرامج الثقافية الموسعة وبرامج للأسرة والطفل وسلسلة من الفعاليات والندوات.
