Ministry of Transport Opens Maritime Vessel Registration Office at Doha Port

Doha: The Ministry of Transport today opened a new maritime vessels registration office at Doha Port where beneficiaries can register a maritime vessel, renew an existing registration, transfer the ownership of a maritime vessel, and obtain all types of certificates for small vessels.

MOT is inaugurating this office within the framework of its plans to improve maritime transportation services to the public by expanding maritime vessels registration offices to make the services available and easy to access, said Assistant Undersecretary, Maritime Transport Affairs, Dr. Saleh bin Fetais Al Marri.

This office, he added, will also help with integrating the services at Doha Port, which is Qatar’s maritime tourism destination and one of its top tourism landmarks.

Al Marri said MOT will continue its efforts to offer services to the public in the best possible way. Currently, he noted, the Ministry offers some 28 e-services for small and large vessels and work is underway to develop and automize all services for maritime vessels, large vessels and maritime certificates and licensees, in addition to developing an electronic application for all maritime services and transactions for the public, shipowners and maritime companies, and opening a maritime vessels registration office in Al Wakra.

MOT has maritime vessels registration offices in Al Khor and Al Ruwais, in addition to the main office at the Ministry’s headquarters.

الدوحة: افتتحت وزارة المواصلات يوم أمس، مكتب تسجيل الوسائط البحرية في ميناء الدوحة، لتقديم خدمات تسجيل وتجديد التسجيل ونقل الملكية وإصدار كافة الشهادات الخاصة بالسفن الصغيرة، بحضور عدد من مسؤولي جهات النقل البحري في الدولة.

وفي هذا الصدد قال الدكتور صالح بن فطيس المري وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون النقل البحري،” إن افتتاح هذا المكتب يأتي في إطار خطط وزارة المواصلات الخاصة بتعزيز الخدمات المقدمة للجمهور بقطاع النقل البحري من خلال التوسع في مكاتب تسجيل الوسائط البحرية الخارجية، بهدف تقريب الخدمات من الجمهور وتيسير حصولهم عليها”.

وأضاف: سيساهم هذا المكتب أيضا في تعزيز تكامل الخدمات في ميناء الدوحة، الذي يعتبر الواجهة السياحية البحرية للدولة وأحد أهم معالم السياحة في القطاع البحري.

وأكد وكيل الوزارة المساعد لشؤون النقل البحري على أن وزارة المواصلات ستواصل بذل كافة الجهود لتقديم خدماتها للجمهور على أفضل وجه.. موضحا أن الوزارة تقدم حاليا نحو 28 خدمة إلكترونية خاصة بالسفن الصغيرة والكبيرة، وجاري العمل على تطوير وأتمتة كافة الخدمات للوسائط البحرية والسفن الكبيرة والشهادات والتراخيص البحرية، بالإضافة إلى عمل تطبيق إلكتروني لجميع المعاملات والخدمات البحرية المقدمة للجمهور وملاك السفن والشركات البحرية، فضلا عن افتتاح مكتب خدمات آخر لتسجيل الوسائط البحرية في الوكرة.

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن وزارة المواصلات توفر مكاتب تسجيل للوسائط البحرية في كل من الخور والرويس، بالإضافة إلى المكتب الرئيسي في مقر الوزارة.
