60M KGS of Vegetables from 400 Local Farms Marketed by Hassad Food Over Past 3 Years

Doha: Hassad Food, the Qatar premier investor in food and agribusiness, announced, in coordination with Ministry of Municipality, that Mahaseel for Marketing and Agri. services company (a subsidiary of Hassad Food) succeeded in marketing nearly 60M kgs of local produce in the Qatari market, over the past three years.

A statement issued by Hassad Food, reported that Mahaseel received around 50,000 supplies over the past three years, and received approx. 5.5M kgs of local produce per month, during peak times. The company receives vegetables of different grades, following the technical specifications approved by the Ministry of Municipality, and published on the company’s website.

In line with Hassad’s investment strategy, which includes supporting and developing local projects that contribute to achieving food security, and in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality – Mahaseel provides marketing and agricultural services to farmers, with the aim of showcasing the added value of local produce and motivate farmers to increase & enhance local production.

Moreover, in coordination with the Ministry of Municipality, Mahaseel provides its services to more than 400 local farms and markets their fresh produce through 100 outlets around the country. Mahaseel manages its operations with full transparency and professionalism, through documenting all its transactions. The company also provides training courses to farmers and conducts field visits to farms.

الدوحة: أعلنت شركة حصاد الغذائية، الذراع الاستثمارية للدولة في القطاع الغذائي والزراعي، وبالتنسيق مع وزارة البلدية، عن نجاح شركة محاصيل للتسويق والخدمات الزراعية /إحدى الشركات التابعة لحصاد/ في تسويق ما يقارب 60 مليون كيلوجرام من الخضراوات المحلية في السوق القطري خلال الثلاثة أعوام الماضية.

وأفاد بيان صادر عن شركة حصاد الغذائية أن شركة محاصيل استقبلت حوالي 50 ألف عملية توريد على مدار الثلاثة أعوام الماضية، فيما وصل حجم الاستلام الشهري للخضراوات ما يقارب 5.5 مليون كيلوجرام في وقت الذروة، مشيرا إلى أن الشركة تقوم باستقبال الخضراوات من الدرجات المختلفة بحسب المواصفات الفنية المعتمدة من وزارة البلدية، والمعلنة عبر موقع الشركة الإلكتروني.

وفي إطار استراتيجية شركة حصاد الاستثمارية، التي تشمل دعم وتطوير المشروعات المحلية، التي من شأنها المساهمة في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي لدولة قطر، وبالتعاون مع وزارة البلدية، تعمل شركة محاصيل على تقديم خدمات تسويقية وزراعية للمزارعين بهدف إبراز القيمة المضافة للمنتج المحلي، وتحفيز المزارعين على زيادة الإنتاج المحلي وتحسين جودته.

يشار إلى أن شركة محاصيل وبالتعاون مع وزارة البلدية تقدم خدمتها لأكثر من 400 مزرعة محلية، وتسوق المنتج المحلي من الخضراوات الطازجة من خلال 100 منفذ بيع في الدولة، كما تحرص على إدارة عملياتها بكل شفافية واحترافية من خلال توثيق جميع المعاملات، وتحرص كذلك على تقديم دورات تدريبية للمزارعين والقيام بزيارات ميدانية للمزارع.
