Qatar’s Trade Balance Surplus Increases by more than 123 Percent in Third Quarter of this Year

Doha: The surplus of the trade balance of the State of Qatar, which includes goods, services, income and current transfers, jumped by 123.23 percent, rising to QR 62.826 billion at the end of the third quarter of this year, compared to QR 28.143 billion in the third quarter of last year.
Qatar Central Bank data, issued today, showed an increase in the commodity account surplus by 81.75 percent, to QR 106.715 billion in the third quarter of 2022, compared to a level of QR 58.713 billion in the same period of 2021, while the commodity account surplus boosted the increase in exports in the same period from QR 82.578 billion to the level of QR138.768 billion, an increase of QR 56.19 billion, or 68 percent.
The data revealed that the State of Qatar registered a surplus in the balance of payments in the third quarter (July, August, September) of this year, at a value of QR 3.347 billion.
In the same context, the capital and financial balance deficit amounted to QR 55.814 billion in the third quarter of this year, compared to QR 22.357 billion in the same period of 2021.

وأظهرت بيانات مصرف قطر المركزي، الصادرة اليوم، ارتفاع فائض الحساب السلعي بنسبة 81.75 بالمئة، إلى 106.715 مليار ريال في الربع الثالث من 2022، قياسا بمستوى بلغ 58.713 مليار ريال في الفترة ذاتها من العام 2021، فيما عزز فائض الحساب السلعي ارتفاع الصادرات في الفترة نفسها من 82.578 مليار ريال إلى مستوى 138.768 مليار ريال، بواقع زيادة 56.19 مليار ريال، أي بنسبة 68 بالمئة.
وكشفت البيانات عن تسجيل دولة قطر فائضا في ميزان المدفوعات بالربع الثالث (يوليو، أغسطس، سبتمبر) من العام الجاري، بقيمة 3.347 مليار ريال.
وفي السياق ذاته، بلغ عجز الحساب الرأسمالي والمالي 55.814 مليار ريال في الربع الثالث من العام الجاري، مقارنة بـ22.357 مليار ريال في الفترة المماثلة من عام 2021.
