Avatar 2 Remains Number One in North America

Washington: The science fiction movie “Avatar 2” maintained the lead in North American cinema revenues, despite the winter storm that forced millions into their homes, with revenues of nearly USD 90 million.

The film is shown in 3D, and it revolves around the star Pandora that is located far from Earth, the movie includes a large amount of CGI that falls within the sci-fi genre with themes of nature. It extends for three hours and 12 minutes, and it is directed by James Cameron, starring Sam Worthegon and Zoe McConnell, as the film is the second part of the “Avatar” series, which was produced in 2009.

In second place came the animated comedy “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish”, with revenues of USD 17.5 million, starring Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek, Harvey Guillen, Florence Pugh, John Mulaney and Wagner Mora.

And the movie ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ came in third place, recording revenues of only USD 6.8 million. While the 2022 comedy-drama film “Babylon” came in fourth place, with revenues not exceeding USD 5.3 million, starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie.

As for the fifth place, the adventure movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” , after revenues of USD 4.28 million, starring Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira.

In the rest of the film rankings, the movie “Violent Night” came in sixth place with revenues of USD 4.3 million, and in seventh place was the movie “The Whale” with revenues of USD 1.5 million, and in eighth place was the movie “The Food Menu” with revenues of one million dollars. And in ninth place is the movie “The Fablemans” with revenues of about USD 900 thousand , and in the tenth place is the movie “Strange World” with revenues estimated at USD 675 thousand.

واشنطن: حافظ فيلم الخيال العلمي /أفاتار 2/ على صدارة إيرادات السينما في أمريكا الشمالية، رغم العاصفة الشتوية التي ألزمت الملايين في منازلهم، محققا إيرادات قاربت 90 مليون دولار.

وتدور أحداث الفيلم، الذي يعرض بتقنية الأبعاد الثلاثية، حول النجم باندورا الواقع على مسافة بعيدة جدا من الأرض، ضمن قصة خيال علمي ذات طابع بيئي، ويتضمن كمية كبيرة من الصور الرقمية، ويمتد لثلاث ساعات و12 دقيقة، وهو من إخراج جيمس كاميرون، وبطولة سام ورثيجون وزوي ماكونيل، حيث عد الفيلم الجزء الثاني من سلسلة أفلام/ أفاتار/ التي أنتجت عام 2009.

وجاء في المركز الثاني فيلم الرسوم المتحركة الكوميدي /القط ذو الحذاء: الأمنية الأخيرة/، بإيرادات بلغت 17.5 مليون دولار، وهو من بطولة أنتونيو بانديراس، سلمى حايك، هارفي غيلين، فلورنس بيو، جون مولايني وواغنر مورا.

وحل في المركز الثالث فيلم /أود الرقص مع شخص ما‏/، مسجلا إيرادات ناهزت 6.8 مليون دولار فقط، بينما جاء في المركز الرابع الفيلم الدرامي الكوميدي / 2022 بابل/، بإيرادات لم تتخط 5.3 مليون دولار، وهو من بطولة براد بيت ومارغوت روبي.

أما في المركز الخامس، فقد حل فيلم المغامرات /النمر الأسود: واكاندا للأبد‏/ بعد أن حقق إيرادات بلغت 4.28 مليون دولار، وهو من بطولة لوبيتا نيونغو وداناي غورورا .

وفي باقي ترتيب الأفلام، جاء في المركز السادس فيلم /ليلة عنيفة/ بإيرادات بلغت 4.3 مليون دولار، وفي المركز السابع فيلم /الحوت/ بإيرادات بلغت 1.5 مليون دولار، وفي المركز الثامن فيلم /قائمة الطعام/ بإيرادات بلغت مليون دولار، وفي المركز التاسع فيلم /فابلمانز/ بإيرادات ناهزت 900 ألف دولار، وفي المركز العاشر فيلم /عالم غريب/ بإيرادات قدرت بـ 675 ألف دولار.
