Public Transport Moved 26.8 Million Residents and Visitors During the World Cup

Doha: The Ministry of Transport announced today that the transport sector achieved record numbers in its public transport operations services provided during the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup tournament which moved approximately 26.8 million visitors and fans.
The ministry indicated in a statement, that more than 18 million and 416,000 passengers were transported on the Doha metro and 829,741 passengers used the Lusail Tram, while approximately 150.8 thousand persons used the Tram in the Educational City, at the same time, Msheireb Tram transported more than 27.6 thousand passengers.
The ministry noted that the total number of bus services’ users exceeded 7.368 million passengers, in addition to 315,122 taxi trips, besides more than 8,274 million transactions were registered by passengers through the online applications carriers during the period from Nov. 20 to Dec. 18.
Regarding air transportation, aircraft traffic at both Hamad and Doha international airports recorded 26,425 air traffic.
In terms of securing supply and supply chains to serve the country’s vital economic sectors and to meet the requirements of the World Cup, Qatar, Ports took place from November 18 to December 18. for handling 125285 standard container, and more than 131 thousand tons of general goods in addition to handling 6755 units of equipment and cars, 1910 cattle by receiving 146 multi-species vessels at the Port of Hamad and 105 vessels at the Port of Ruwais.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة المواصلات، يوم أمس، عن تحقيق قطاع النقل والمواصلات أرقاما قياسية في كافة الخدمات التي قدمها، منذ بدء العمليات التشغيلية لكأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، حتى نهاية البطولة، حيث نقلت وسائل النقل العام المتعددة ما يقارب من 26.8 مليون زائر ومشجع.
وذكرت الوزارة في، بيان لها، أن أكثر من 18 مليونا و416 ألف راكب، تم نقلهم في مترو الدوحة، و829.741 راكبا، استخدموا ترام لوسيل، فيما بلغ عدد مستخدمي ترام المدينة التعليمية نحو 150.8 ألف راكب، بينما نقل ترام مشيرب أكثر من 27.6 ألف راكب، وذلك خلال الفترة من 18 نوفمبر الماضي إلى 18 ديسمبر 2022 .
وأشارت الوزارة إلى تخطى إجمالي عدد مستخدمي كافة خدمات الحافلات 7.368 مليون راكب، فيما وصل إجمالي عدد رحلات سيارات الأجرة (التاكسي) إلى 315.122 رحلة.
كما سجلت شركات نقل الركاب عبر التطبيقات الإلكترونية أكثر من 8.274 مليون رحلة، وذلك خلال الفترة من 20 نوفمبر الماضي إلى 18 ديسمبر الجاري.
وفيما يتعلق بالنقل الجوي، سجلت حركة الطائرات في كل من مطاري حمد والدوحة الدوليين 26425 حركة جوية.
وعلى صعيد تأمين سلاسل الإمداد والتوريد لخدمة القطاعات الاقتصادية الحيوية في الدولة، وتلبية متطلبات بطولة كأس العالم، قامت “مواني قطر” خلال الفترة الممتدة من 18 نوفمبر الماضي إلى 18 ديسمبر الحالي، بمناولة 125285 حاوية نمطية، وأكثر من 131 ألف طن من البضائع العامة، بالإضافة إلى مناولة 6755 وحدة من المعدات والسيارات، و19130 رأسا من الماشية، وذلك عبر استقبال 146 سفينة متعددة الأنواع في ميناء حمد، و105 سفن في ميناء الرويس.
