“The Urge to Win” Artwork Unveiled in Club Suisse Doha

Doha: The “The Urge to Win” artwork was unveiled on Monday evening at the Club Suisse Doha in the presence of ambassadors and diplomats accredited to countries, media professionals, and artists, on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The artwork of David Pflugi, a renowned Swiss artist, is a traditional dhow that transforms into different shapes when viewed from different perspectives.

“As if by magic, its outlines transform into different shapes when viewed from different perspectives: A flower in the desert, a football floating in the sky, a dhow sailing through the waves, a burning flame, the head of a falcon, a gargantuan world cup trophy,” David Pflugi said.
Pflugi has been presenting artwork for years on the occasion of the World Cup, which is usually signed by the football stars who qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament.
In the 25 years since he devoted his life to the full-time creation of art, David Pflugi has become the creator of approximately 1500 works so far, ranging from small objects to room-size sculptures.
His achievements during this time have been remarkable. Works by David Pflugi are on display as permanent installations in public spaces in several locations internationally, including the Commerzbank Tower in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
David Pflugi is the creator of a completely unprecedented style of art, which he has named Fusionism. Fusionism brings together the disciplines of sculpting and painting, merging them with new media, the human body, and cutting-edge technology.
In its most basic form, fusionist art consists of creating sculptures and reliefs, and then adorning them with multiple highly complex, painted anamorphic illusions. The individual motifs are fully discernible only when a work is viewed from certain specific perspectives. Viewers are therefore forced to move around before an object to acquaint themselves with its secrets, constantly questioning their own previously held assumptions about the work they are viewing.

وجاء العمل الفني للفنان السويسري ديفيد بفلوكي عبارة عن قارب تقليدي يتخذ عدة أشكال فنية طبقا لزاوية الرؤية.
واعتبر سعادة السيد إدغار دويريغ سفير سويسرا لدى دولة قطر، في كلمة ترحيبية بالضيوف، هذا العمل الفني بمثابة تثمين للأعمال التي قامت بها اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، ومتابعة مباريات المونديال، لافتا إلى أن هذا الحدث الفني من أهم الفعاليات المصاحبة لبطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، حيث تم تقديم أعمال وعروض موسيقية، وهو التقاء بالثقافة السويسرية والقطرية.
وأثناء إزاحة الستار عن العمل الفني، قال الفنان دافيد بفلوكي “من الجهة الأمامية للعمل الفني، يظهر لنا مجسم كأس العالم، ومن الجهة الأخرى، نرى صقرا باسطا جناحيه بعينيه البراقتين، وعند تغيير زاوية الرؤية يظهر العمل الفني مثل الصدفة.. وعند الرؤية المباشرة للعمل من الأمام يبدو كوردة متفتحة زاهية الألوان”.
جدير بالذكر أن الفنان السويسري دأب منذ سنوات على تقديم أعمال فنية بمناسبة المونديال، حيث عادة ما يوقع عليها نجوم المستديرة الذين تأهلوا إلى نصف نهائي البطولة.
وكرس الفنان السويسري حياته الفنية، خلال 25 عاما، للإبداع، وأصبح مبتكرا لما يقرب من 1500 عمل حتى الآن، بدءا من الأشياء الصغيرة إلى المنحوتات بحجم الغرفة، إذ كانت إنجازاته في هذا الوقت رائعة: على الرغم من أنه ظل مستقلا تماما طوال حياته المهنية حتى الآن، وأثبتت أعماله نجاحا كبيرا في عالم الفن، إذ يتم عرضها كتركيبات دائمة في الأماكن العامة في عدة مواقع على الصعيد الدولي، بما في ذلك برج Commerzbank في فرانكفورت بألمانيا.
واشتهر بفلوكي بابتكار أسلوب فني غير مسبوق تماما، أطلق عليه اسم Fusionism يجمع الانصهار بين تخصصات النحت والرسم، ودمجها مع الوسائط الجديدة وجسم الإنسان، والتكنولوجيا المتطورة.
ويتكون هذا الفن من إنشاء منحوتات ونقوش بارزة، ثم تزيينها بأوهام بصرية مشوهة متعددة ومعقدة للغاية. لا يمكن تمييز الزخارف الفردية بشكل كامل إلا عندما ينظر إلى العمل من منظور معين، لذلك يضطر المشاهدون إلى التحرك أمام شيء ما للتعرف على أسراره، والتشكيك باستمرار في افتراضاتهم السابقة حول العمل الذي يشاهدونه.
وتسمح هذه التقنية للفنان بوضع أفكار وموضوعات مختلفة جنبا إلى جنب، واستكشاف التناقضات والقواسم المشتركة بينها في الفراغات بين هذه الأشكال، إذ تصبح عملية مشاهدة العمل بمثابة رحلة اكتشاف، تتطلب فضولا ومرحا، فضلا عن انفتاح كبير للعقل.
