Paris: French Football Federation President Noel Le Graet said that Western media campaign launched against the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 was excessive, adding that they like to be a little excessive in France on a lot of issues.
Speaking in an interview with French radio (RTL), Le Graet said “I believe there has been an excessive campaign against Qatar. باريس: أكد نويل لوغريت رئيس الاتحاد الفرنسي لكرة القدم على أن الحملة الإعلامية الغربية التي شنت ضد بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 كانت مبالغا فيها، مضيفا أننا في فرنسا عادة ما نميل إلى تهويل الأمور عند معالجتنا لبعض القضايا.
وقال لوغريت في حديث لإذاعة /RTL / الفرنسية، “لقد فوجئت بالجانب السياسي الذي طبع هذه الحملة، وفي الواقع .. أنا أتابع فقط كرة القدم بينما أدع السياسة لأهل الاختصاص”.
ورأى أنه “لا يوجد أي مبرر حتى تبدي فرنسا استياءها من قطر، فنحن نبرم معهم صفقات ضخمة على ضوء وفاق مشترك بين الحكومتين “.
وأشار إلى أن دعوات المقاطعة المبالغ فيها، التي طالعتنا في الفترة الأخيرة، لم تنجح والدليل هو امتلاء مناطق المشجعين بالمئات ممن أتوا لأجل متابعة مباريات المونديال.
