Doha: MATAR, Qatar Company for Airports Operation and Management, has announced changes to the policy of vehicle access to the sidewalks facing the arrival and departure gates of passengers at Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport, starting from tomorrow, Tuesday until further notice, in the context of ensuring the security, safety and comfort of all travelers and passengers during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Championship, and to ensure that operations continue to run smoothly.
The company explained, in a statement today, that allowing access to the sidewalks facing the arrival and departure gates will be limited to authorized vehicles only, which are limousines, taxis (Mwasalat), and approved vehicles for people with special needs and passengers of first class and business class on Qatar Airways.
MATAR added that private vehicles will have to drop off passengers or pick them up inside the private car parks at Hamad International Airport and Doha International Airport, noting that free shuttle buses will be provided from the long-term car parks at Hamad International Airport to the airport building.
The statement pointed out that Hamad International Airport provides travelers with a variety of transportation options and means that connect the airport with the city, as all airport bus stops, taxis, metro station, car rental offices and limousine services are located within walking distance of the arrival and departure gates, and the airport staff will always be ready to provide round the clock assistance for travelers.

الدوحة: أعلنت الشركة القطرية لإدارة وتشغيل المطارات عن تغييرات في سياسة وصول المركبات إلى الأرصفة المواجهة لبوابات وصول ومغادرة المسافرين في مطار حمد الدولي ومطار الدوحة الدولي، اعتبارا من اليوم /الثلاثاء/ وحتى إشعار آخر، وذلك في إطار الحرص على أمن وسلامة وراحة جميع المسافرين والركاب خلال بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، ولضمان استمرار العمليات التشغيلية بسلاسة.
وأوضحت الشركة، في بيان لها يوم أمس، أن السماح بالوصول للأرصفة المواجهة لبوابات الوصول والمغادرة سوف يقتصر على المركبات المصرح لها فقط، وهي سيارات الليموزين وسيارات الأجرة (مواصلات)، والمركبات المعتمدة للأشخاص ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ومسافري الدرجة الأولى ودرجة رجال الأعمال على متن الخطوط الجوية القطرية.
وأضافت أنه سوف يتعين على المركبات الخاصة إنزال المسافرين أو استقبالهم داخل مواقف السيارات الخاصة في مطار حمد الدولي ومطار الدوحة الدولي، مشيرة إلى أنه سيتم توفير حافلات نقل مجانية من مواقف السيارات طويلة الأمد في مطار حمد الدولي إلى مبنى المطار.
وأشار البيان إلى أن مطار حمد الدولي يوفر للمسافرين مجموعة متنوعة من خيارات ووسائل المواصلات التي تربط المطار بالمدينة، حيث تقع جميع مواقف حافلات المطار وسيارات الأجرة ومحطة المترو ومكاتب استئجار السيارات وخدمات الليموزين على مسافة قريبة من بوابات الوصول والمغادرة، وسوف يكون موظفو المطار جاهزين دوما لتقديم المساعدة للمسافرين على مدار الساعة.
