QT Announces Opening of More Than 20 New Hotels, Resorts, Tourist Destinations

Doha: Qatar Tourism revealed the opening of more than 20 hotels, resorts and new tourist destinations in the country ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that these projects and tourist attractions will be ready to receive fans in the tournament, which begins on Nov. 20 and continues until Dec. 18.

In a statement on Sunday, Qatar Tourism stated that 2022 represents an unprecedented year in the process of development witnessed by the State of Qatar, its transformation into a global tourist destination, and its aspiration to increase the number of its visitors to six million visitors annually by 2030.

Acting Head of the Promotion Department of Qatar Tourism, Haya Al Noaimi, said that 2022 is an exceptional year, as it witnessed the opening of many hotels and major tourism projects, from shopping malls to beach clubs, museums and amusement parks.

She added by saying that they look forward to welcoming in the coming months all visitors to Qatar, who can now experience a new range of hotels, tourist resorts and world-class tourist attractions that suit all categories of visitors, and suit all budgets, noting that in light of expectations, more than one million fans will visit Qatar during the world’s most prominent football event, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, these fans will discover in Qatar much more than iconic country-built stadiums, fan festivals and state-of-the-art facilities, thanks to the many activities and tourist experiences that will be offered throughout the country in conjunction with sports competitions.

New attractions include entertainment venues, seaside and beach clubs, arts and culture houses, shopping malls, and the new Qatar 2022 hotels and resorts.

The entertainment venues include many tourist sites, such as Al Maha Island, Lusail Winter Wonderland, Lusail Boulevard, Qetaifan Island North, Corinthia Yacht Club, and West Walk. These sites accommodate restaurants, brands, and other recreational activities.

In early November, three new beaches will be opened in the heart of Doha, including West Bay North Beach Project, West Bay Beach, B12 Beach Club Doha, and DOHASANDS Beach Club, in addition to other existing beaches, such as 974 Beach Club, La Mar Beach Club, and Makani Beach Club.

Qatar’s iconic Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) reopened to the public on Oct. 5, 2022, following a year-long facilities enhancement project. The re-imagination of its permanent collection of over 1,000 objects will create a new visitor-focused layout and storyline, allowing the museum to showcase its world-renowned exhibits as never before. Aimed at families with children, the new galleries at MIA include hands-on experiences and activities.

It pointed out that the new Qatar 2022 hotels and resorts include: Fuwairit Kite Beach, The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, Rixos Gulf Hotel Doha, The Outpost Al Barari, Rixos Qetaifan Island North Doha, Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay, Waldorf Astoria Doha Lusail, The Ned Doha, The Chedi Katara Hotel & Resort, Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha, Rosewood Doha, Katara Hills LXR Hotels, and DoubleTree by Hilton Doha Downtown The new landmarks and attractions that were launched this year come as part of a series of tourism projects to meet the needs of fans and visitors to Qatar from places of entertainment, housing and shopping, in addition to the availability of food and beverage outlets.

الدوحة: كشفت /قطر للسياحة/ عن افتتاح أكثر من 20 فندقا ومنتجعا ووجهة سياحية جديدة في البلاد قبل انطلاق بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، مؤكدة أن هذه المشاريع والمعالم السياحية ستكون جاهزة لاستقبال المشجعين في البطولة التي تنطلق يوم 20 نوفمبر وتستمر حتى 18 ديسمبر المقبلين.

وأفادت /قطر للسياحة/، في بيان اليوم، أن عام 2022 يمثل عاما غير مسبوق في مسيرة التطور التي تشهده دولة قطر، وتحولها إلى وجهة سياحية عالمية، وتطلعها إلى زيادة عدد زائريها إلى ستة ملايين زائر سنويا بحلول عام 2030.

وقالت السيدة هيا النعيمي رئيس قسم الترويج بالإنابة في /قطر للسياحة/ في البيان: “2022 عام استثنائي، حيث شهد افتتاح العديد من الفنادق والمشاريع السياحية الكبرى، من مراكز التسوق إلى النوادي الشاطئية والمتاحف والمتنزهات الترفيهية”.

وأضافت: “نتطلع للترحيب في الأشهر المقبلة بجميع زوار قطر، الذين يمكنهم الآن تجربة مجموعة جديدة من الفنادق والمنتجعات السياحية ومعالم الجذب السياحي عالمية المستوى التي تلائم جميع فئات الزوار، وتناسب جميع الميزانيات”، مشيرة إلى إنه وفي ظل التوقعات بزيارة أكثر من مليون مشجع لدولة قطر خلال الحدث الكروي الأبرز في العالم كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، فإن هؤلاء المشجعين سيكتشفون في قطر ما هو أكثر بكثير من الملاعب الأيقونية التي شيدتها الدولة، ومهرجانات المشجعين والمرافق العصرية المتطورة، وذلك بفضل مجموعة من الأنشطة والتجارب السياحية الكثيرة التي سيتم تقديمها في جميع أنحاء البلاد بالتزامن مع المنافسات الرياضية.

وتشمل المعالم السياحية الجديدة أماكن للترفيه، والشواطئ والنوادي الشاطئية، ودور الفنون والثقافة ومتاجر للتسوق، وفنادق ومنتجعات قطر الجديدة 2022.

وتضم أماكن الترفيه عددا من المواقع السياحية مثل: /جزيرة المها، لوسيل ونتر وندرلاند، درب لوسيل، جزيرة قطيفان الشمالية، نادي كورنثيا لليخوت، ويست ووك/ وتحتوي هذه المواقع على مطاعم وعلامات تجارية، وغيرها من الأنشطة الترفيهية.

ومن المقرر أن يتم تدشين ثلاثة شواطئ جديدة في قلب الدوحة، مطلع نوفمبر المقبل، وهي: /شاطئ الخليج الغربي/، و/نادي شاطئ B12/، و/شاطئ دوحة ساندز/، إضافة إلى الشواطئ الأخرى الموجودة، مثل: /شاطئ 974/ و/شاطئ لا مار/ و/شاطئ مكاني/.

وأشارت /قطر للسياحة/ إلى أن المعالم السياحية فيما يتعلق بالفنون والثقافة والتسوق، تشمل متحف الفن الإسلامي بعد إعادة افتتاحه للجمهور في 5 أكتوبر الجاري في حلته الجديدة، بعد انتهاء مشروع تأهيله، الذي استمر لمدة عام، وتركيب صالات العرض الخاصة بمجموعته الدائمة التي تضم أكثر من 1000 قطعة، بالإضافة إلى تدشين أقسام جديدة تسمح للمتحف بعرض المزيد من مجموعته ذات الشهرة العالمية، إضافة إلى متاجر للتسوق مثل متجر برانتان الدوحة.

ولفتت إلى أن فنادق ومنتجعات قطر الجديدة 2022، تشمل: /منتجع شاطئ فويرط/، و/فندق سانت ريجيس جزيرة مرسى عربية/، و/فندق ريكسوس جلف الدوحة/، و/منتجع أوتبوست البراري/، و/منتجع ريكسوس، جزيرة قطيفان الشمالية/، و/والدورف أستوريا الدوحة ويست باي/، و/والدورف أستوريا الدوحة لوسيل/، و/ذا نيد الدوحة/، و/فندق ومنتجع شيدي كتارا/، و/رافلز الدوحة/ و/فيرمونت الدوحة/، و/روز وود الدوحة/، و/فنادق كتارا هيلز إل إكس آر/، و/دبل تري هيلتون الدوحة داون تاون/.

وتأتي معالم ووجهات الجذب الجديدة التي تم تدشينها خلال العام الجاري ضمن سلسلة المشاريع السياحية لتلبية احتياجات المشجعين وزوار قطر من أماكن للترفيه والسكن والتسوق، بجانب توافر منافذ الأطعمة والمشروبات.
