Ministry Inaugurates “Excellence, Creativity” Exhibition to Welcome World Cup

Doha: HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi inaugurated Wednesday the “excellence and creativity,” exhibition, which is organized by the MOEHE until Sep. 29, including a competition entitled “creations of artistic talents to welcome the World Cup.” The exhibition includes artworks of 57 public school students – including special education schools – in addition to several artworks made by teachers and ministry employees. The artworks include 152 paintings, models, and photographs that embody the welcoming atmosphere of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the Qatari identity, Qatari dress and heritage, other activities and new events and stadiums, as well as tournaments and sporting events that Qatar hosted before.

In a press statement, HE Dr. Al Nuaimi described the exhibition as distinguished and said that it embodies the creativity of government school students at various educational levels, as they were inspired by the great meanings of the country’s hosting of this international sports event, which is being held for the first time in the region, and they reflected all that in their works, drawings, paintings, and models. In turn, this expresses the great interest the MOEHE attaches to the educational and technical aspects of its schools, in addition to the interest of the students themselves, their teachers, and the Ministrys employees in this tournament, which the world is eagerly awaiting.

He noted that these artworks, which reflect the students’ creativity, can be used as murals to decorate some areas and roads in the country and gathering areas for visitors and fans. He pointed out that the MOEHE has volunteers who will participate – along with others – in the tasks entrusted to them. He also added that universities such as Qatar university, the University of Doha for Science and Technology – UDST, and Education City, will arrange accommodation and training facilities for some of the teams participating in the international tournament.

Al Nuaimi expressed his confidence that everyone will do their duty to receive Qatar’s guests in the best way possible, as dictated by the Islamic religion and the authentic customs of the people and society of Qatar, in terms of hospitality and welcoming guests, indicating that the MOEHE will coordinate with the concerned authorities to decorate the schools and their surroundings in celebration of this global football event.

For her part, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs Maha Zayed Al Ruwaili said that the exhibition, with its various paintings and contents, reflects the enthusiasm of public school students in its various stages to receive the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament.

The Director of the Corporate Culture Initiative team at the MOEHE and member of the exhibition organizing team Sheikha Rabia explained that the idea of the exhibition reflects the interest in the creativity of talented people and the keenness of the MOEHE on the participation of all its members in the largest international sporting event hosted by the country, the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

She indicated that the main objective of the exhibition is to highlight the works of the participants, and their artistic touches on the tournament, and to create a spirit of competition among them, noting that the judging committee will choose in this regard ten paintings according to specific criteria.

She said that around 57 schools participate in the exhibition with more than 100 paintings, and more than 10 models, in addition to the participation of the schools of the Special Education and Gifted Care Department with 9 distinguished paintings, and the Public Relations and Communication Department with 33 photographs of the players of the Qatar first football team.

In the same regard, Chairman of Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar Eng. Mohammed Arqoub Al Khaldi praised the students’ creations and their distinguished artworks in the exhibition, adding that the artworks will be used in the decoration works to add an aesthetic dimension to the places where they are placed in.

الدوحة: افتتح سعادة الدكتور إبراهيم بن صالح النعيمي وكيل وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي يوم أمس معرض “التميز والإبداع”، الذي تنظمه الوزارة حتى التاسع والعشرين من شهر سبتمبر الجاري، متضمنا مسابقة بعنوان “إبداعات أصحاب المواهب الفنية لاستقبال كأس العالم”.

يضم المعرض 152 لوحة ومجسما وصورة من أعمال طلاب 57 مدرسة حكومية، بما فيها مدارس التربية الخاصة، بالإضافة لعدد من أعمال المعلمين وموظفي الوزارة، والتي تجسد كلها أجواء الترحاب والاستقبال ببطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، والهوية القطرية، والزي والتراث القطري، وغيرها من الأنشطة والفعاليات والاستادات الجديدة، وكذا البطولات والأحداث الرياضية التي استضافتها قطر من قبل.

ووصف سعادة الدكتور النعيمي، في تصريحات صحفية المعرض بالمتميز، وقال إنه يجسد إبداعات طلاب المدارس الحكومية في مختلف المراحل الدراسية، حيث استلهموا المعاني الكبيرة لاستضافة الدولة لهذا الحدث الرياضي العالمي، الذي يقام لأول مرة بالمنطقة، وقاموا بعكس كل ذلك في أعمالهم ورسوماتهم ولوحاتهم ومجسماتهم، ما يعبر بدوره عن الاهتمام الكبير الذي توليه الوزارة للجوانب التربوية والتعليمية والفنية بمدارسها، علاوة على اهتمام الطلاب أنفسهم ومعلميهم وموظفي الوزارة بهذه البطولة، التي يترقبها وينتظرها العالم بشغف وحماس.

ونوه بأن هذه الأعمال الفنية، التي تعكس إبداعات الطلاب، يمكن استخدامها جداريات لتزيين بعض المناطق والطرق بالدولة، ومناطق تجمعات الزوار والمشجعين، مشيرا إلى أن لدى الوزارة متطوعون سيشاركون مع غيرهم في المهام التي توكل إليهم، بينما ستقوم الجامعات مثل جامعة قطر وجامعة الدوحة للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والمدينة التعليمية بترتيبات الإقامة، وتجهيزات التدريب بها لبعض المنتخبات المشاركة في البطولة العالمية المهمة.

وأعرب النعيمي عن ثقته في أن الجميع سيقوم بواجبه في استقبال ضيوف قطر بأحسن ما يكون، وبما يمليه الدين الإسلامي وعادات أهل ومجتمع قطر الأصيلة، من حيث كرم الضيافة والترحاب بالضيوف، مبينا أن الوزارة ستقوم من جانبها بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية لتزيين المدارس ومحيطها؛ احتفاء بهذا الحدث الكروي العالمي.

من ناحيتها، قالت السيدة مها زايد الرويلي وكيل الوزارة المساعد للشؤون التعليمية: إن المعرض يعكس بلوحاته ومحتوياته المختلفة حماس طلاب المدارس الحكومية بمراحلها المختلفة لاستقبال بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 بهمة عالية واستعداد تام.

كما يعكس الحس الفني لدى الطلاب من حيث دمج ومزج الهوية القطرية مع أهداف وأهمية هذه البطولة، والتطلعات العالمية حولها، في مضامين أعمالهم لاستقبال المونديال، مع حرص كل منهم على ترك بصمة له، لافتة إلى أن لدى الوزارة عدة مشاركات ومبادرات بهذا الخصوص ستعلن عنها لاحقا؛ من بينها مبادرة “زينة” بمشاركة عدد كبير من المدارس وطلابها، وقالت إنه سيتم استخدام بعض هذه الأعمال الفنية في تجميل العديد من المنشآت والطرقات بالدولة، وفي استقبال الضيوف وأماكن تجمعاتهم.

وأوضحت السيدة شيخة ربيعة، رئيس مبادرة الثقافة المؤسسية بالوزارة وعضو الفريق المنظم للمعرض، أن فكرة المعرض تعكس الاهتمام بإبداعات أصحاب المواهب؛ حرصا من وزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي على مشاركة جميع منتسبيها في أكبر حدث رياضي عالمي تستقبله الدولة وهو بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022.

وأوضحت أن هدف المعرض الأساسي هو إبراز أعمال المشاركين فيه، ولمساتهم الفنية الخاصة بالبطولة، وإيجاد روح التنافس بينهم، مشيرة إلى أن لجنة التحكيم ستختار في هذا الخصوص عشر لوحات وفق معايير محددة.

وذكرت أن حوالي 57 مدرسة تشارك في المعرض بأكثر من 100 لوحة، وما يزيد عن 10 مجسمات، بجانب مشاركة مدارس إدارة التربية الخاصة ورعاية الموهوبين بـ 9 لوحات متميزة، وإدارة العلاقات العامة والاتصال بـ 33 صورة فوتوغرافية للاعبي منتخب قطر الأول لكرة القدم.

حول الموضوع ذاته، ثمن المهندس محمد عرقوب الخالدي، رئيس لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة، إبداعات الطلاب وأعمالهم الفنية المتميزة بالمعرض، وقال إنه ستتم الاستفادة منها في أعمال التزيين لتضيف بعدا جماليا على الأماكن التي توضع فيها وتعلق عليها.

واستعرض الخالدي أعمال التزيين والتجميل والمشاريع المرتبطة بهذه المناسبة، حيث تم الانتهاء من مشروع تطوير وتجميل منطقة الدوحة المركزية وشارع الكورنيش، فضلا عن مشاريع فنية أخرى سيعلن عنها قريبا بالتعاون مع هيئة متاحف قطر. وقال: إن اللجنة تركز على تجميل مدينة الدوحة وقطر بالكامل بالتعاون مع الجهات المعنية، داعيا الجميع من مواطنين ومقيمين إلى المشاركة في تزيين محالهم وبيوتهم، واستقبال ضيوف المونديال بمثل هذه الأعمال الجمالية.
