Washington: The historical and action drama “The Woman King” topped the North American box office earlier this week, with revenues of over $19 million.
The film’s story deals with a historical epic inspired by the true events that occurred in the Kingdom ‘Dahomey’, one of the most powerful states in Africa in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, starring Viola Davis, Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, John Boyega, and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood.
The horror and suspense movie “Barbarian” fell from first place last week to second place this week, recording $6.3 million in revenue. The movie is directed by Zach Cregger, and starring Georgina Campbell and Bill Skarsgard.
The horror movie “Pearl” came in third place, with revenues of over $3.1 million, starring Mia Goth and David Corenswet, and directed by Ti West.
In fourth place, came the comedy “See How They Run”, recording over $3.1 million in revenue, directed by Tom George, starring Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan and Adrien Brody.
The action movie “Bullet Train” came in fifth place, down from the third place it occupied last week, with revenues of $2.5 million. It directed by David Leitch, and starring Brad Pitt, Joey King, and Andrew Koji.

وجاء في المركز الثالث فيلم الرعب /بيرل/، بإيرادات بلغت 3.1 مليون دولار، والفيلم بطولة ميا جوث وديفيد كورينسويت ومن إخراج تي وست.
أما في المركز الرابع، فجاء الفيلم الكوميدي /سي هاو ذاي رن/، مسجلا إيرادات بلغت 3.1 مليون دولار، والفيلم من إخراج توم جورج، وبطولة سام روكويل وسيرشا رونان وأدريان برودي.
وحل في المركز الخامس فيلم الاكشن /بولت ترين/ متراجعا عن المركز الثالث الذي احتله الأسبوع الماضي، بإيرادات بلغت 2.5 مليون دولار، الفيلم من إخراج ديفيد ليتش، وبطولة براد بيت وجوي كينج وأندرو كوجي.
