The mystery of delayed opening of Olympic cycling track rest stops

Doha: A number of cyclists called on the concerned authorities to quickly open rest stops and parking spaces for the Olympic cycling track on Al Khor Road, and also to employ workers to take care of the cleanliness of the toilets.
They pointed out that the commercial activities that were to be provided in the rest stop should include a restaurant, a cafe, a supermarket, and a shop for selling and maintaining bicycles.
It is worth noting that the Olympic track has been awarded the Guinness Book of Records for being the longest continuous cycle track with a length of about 33 km. In this regard, Ashghal is keen to provide services and facilities that serve cyclists and encourage the practice of this sport.

الدوحة: دعا عددٌ من قائدي الدراجات الهوائيّة الجهات المعنية إلى سرعة افتتاح محلات استراحة ومواقف مضمار الدراجات الأولمبي على طريق الخور، والعمل أيضًا على توظيف عمالة للاهتمام بنظافة دورات المياه.
وأشاروا إلى أن الأنشطة التجارية التي كان من المقرّر توفيرها بالساحة تتضمن مطعمًا ومقهى وسوبرماركت ومحلًا لبيع وصيانة الدراجات الهوائية.
وجدير بالذكر أن المسار الأولمبي قد حصل على موسوعة جينيس للأرقام القياسية كونه أطول مسار مُتصل للدراجات الهوائية بطول نحو 33 كيلومترًا. وتحرصُ «أشغال» في هذا الصدد على توفير الخدمات والمرافق التي تخدم راكبي الدراجات الهوائية وتشجيعًا على ممارسة هذه الرياضة.
