Private Sector Exports Hit QR 8.9 bn, Up 21% YoY in Q2

Doha: In its quarterly report issued recently, Qatar Chamber (QC) pointed out that the private sector export value during the second quarter of 2022 amounted to QAR 8.92 billion, representing a 21 percent growth on an annual basis compared to QR 7,73 billion in Q2-2021. On a quarterly basis, it also surged 15.4 percent compared to QR 7.73 billion in Q1-2022.

QC report affirmed that his surge clearly confirms the ability of the private sector and the Qatari economy, in general, to adapt to normal and abnormal economic conditions and to achieve rising growth rates, especially after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The newsletter also said according to the type of certificate of origin issued by the Chamber, the value of exports through the GSP model rose by 135 percent on a yearly basis, the Unified Arab model by 60.7 percent, the Unified GCC model by 249 percent, the General model by 10.3 percent and the Singapore model by 8.8 percent.

QC report showed that this surge is attributed to the increase in exports of 4 out of 10 four commodities during Q2.

Fuel exports increased by 283 percent reaching up to QR 2.5 billion compared to QR 657 billion in Q1-2021, while aluminum exports grew by 70.1 percent on a yearly basis, reaching QR2,44 billion, compared to QR1,43 billion in Q2-2021.

Lotrene exports reached QR 388.5 million compared to QR 334.9 million last year, representing a 16 percent increase, while chemical fertilizers exports increased sharply by 5.652.4 percent, which amounted to QR355.5 million, while its value during Q2-2021, was only QR6.18 million.

Essential and industrial oils exports amounted to QR 1,54 billion, showing a decrease of 34.88 percent, compared to QR 2.35 billion in Q2-2021, while chemical substances exports amounted to QR 257.5 million, a decrease of 17.8 percent compared to QR 313.34 million in Q2-2021.

Paraffin exports amounted to QR217.47 million, recording a decrease of 13.1 percent compared to QR 250.4 million in Q2-2021, while industrial gases exports amounted to QR 195.37 million, showing a decrease of 81.8 percent compared to QR 1.07 billion in Q2-2021.

The report indicated that these ten commodities exported by the private sector represent 91 percent of the total value of private export exports, according to the certificates of origin issued by the Qatar Chamber during Q2 of 2022, which amounted to QR 8,094.45 million, registering an 11.7 percent y-on-y growth compared to Q2-2021 and a 9.5 percent quarter-on-quarter growth compared to Q1-2022.

As for economic blocs and groupings, the Asian countries (excluding GCC and Arab countries) were at the top of economic blocs that received exports from the private sector during Q2 which amounted to QR 3,87 billion with a share of 43.4 percent of the total exports, followed by GCC states which received exports amounted to QR 2,56 billion or a share of 28.7 percent of the total value.

In third place came the group of EU states, with exports totaling QR 1,6 billion representing 17.8 percent of the total value, followed by Arab countries excluding GCC states that received QR 370 million, a share of 4.2 percent and the USA with exports amounted to QR 364.2 million, or a share of 4.1 percent of the total exports.

The grouping of African Countries excluding Arab countries came in the sixth place, which received 0.9 percent of the total exports, with a value of QR 82.7 million, followed by other European countries which received exports estimated at QR73.5 million or a share of 0.8 percent, and Other American Countries with a value of QR 0.09 percent of QR 8.2 million.

Then came the grouping of Oceania countries, with exports amounting to QR 1.9 million, equivalent to 0.02 percent of the total exports.

The newsletter said that the number of countries receiving Qatari exports in Q2-2022 was 100 countries in the above economic groupings. The African grouping came to the forefront with 28 countries.

Asia came then with 17 countries, followed by the European Union and other American countries with 15 countries each, then Arab countries excluding GCC states with 13 countries, then the GCC and other European countries with 5, and lastly, the USA and one country (Australia) in the Oceania grouping.

In Q2-2022, India was at the top of the countries of destination of private sector exports with close to QR 1,8 billion, a share of 20.1 percent of the total exports.

It is followed by Oman with almost QR 1,61 billion and a share of 18 percent and the Netherlands with about QR 953 million, a share of 10.7 percent.

الدوحة: كشف تقرير صادر عن غرفة قطر عن ارتفاع في صادرات القطاع الخاص خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2022 بنسبة 21 بالمئة لتبلغ حوالي 8.92 مليار ريال قطري مقابل 7.39 مليار ريال لنفس الفترة من العام الماضي.

وأوضح التقرير أن صادرات الربع الثاني من العام الجاري نمت بنسبة 15.4 بالمئة على أساس ربعي، مؤكدة قدرة القطاع الخاص والاقتصاد القطري بشكل عام على التكيف مع الظروف الاقتصادية الطبيعية وغير الطبيعية ومقدرته على تحقيق معدلات نمو متصاعدة خاصة بعد فترة من التأثيرات السالبة للتدابير الاحترازية التي فرضتها الدولة لمكافحة جائحة /كوفيد-19/، حيث أصبحت آليات السوق وخطط التشغيل في المنشآت والشركات هي التي تتحكم في مستويات التشغيل في كافة الأنشطة الاقتصادية.

وبين التقرير أنه ووفقا لنوع شهادات المنشأ فقد ارتفعت قيمة صادرات نموذج شهادة الأفضليات بنسبة كبيرة بلغت 135.4%، أما نموذج شهادة المنطقة العربية فقد ارتفعت قيمة الصادرات على أساس سنوي بنسبة بلغت 60.7%، كما ارتفعت قيمة الصادرات وفقاً لنموذج شهادة مجلس التعاون الخليجي بنسبة كبيرة بلغت 249.2%، أما شهادة نموذج المنشأ العام فقد ارتفعت قيمة صادراتها على أساس سنوي بنسبة 10.3%، كما ارتفعت صادرات نموذج الشهادة الموحدة لسنغافورة بنسبة 8.8%.

وأشار التقرير الى ارتفاع صادرات 4 سلع من قائمة أهم 10 سلع صادرات خلال الربع الثاني من العام الجاري، حيث ارتفعت قيمة صادرات الوقود بنسبة 283% لتبلغ قيمتها 2.5 مليار ريال مقابل 657 مليون ريال تم تصديرها خلال الربع الثاني من العام السابق 2021، كما حققت صادرات الألمونيوم ارتفاعا خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2022 بنسبة 70.1% حيث بلغت حوالي 2.44 مليار ريال مقارنة بحوالي 1.43 مليار ريال تم تصديرها خلال الربع الثاني من العام السابق 2021، في حين بلغت قيمة صادرات سلعة اللوترين خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2022 حوالي (388.5) مليون ريال بارتفاع نسبته 16% مقارنة بقيمتها خلال نفس الفترة من العام السابق والتي بلغت حوالي (334.9) مليون ريال، أما سلعة الأسمدة الكيماوية فقد ارتفعت قيمة صادراتها بنسبة كبيرة تجاوزت الخمسة آلاف بالمائة حيث بلغت قيمتها حوالي (355.5) مليون ريال في حين كانت قيمتها خلال نفس الفترة من العام السابق حوالي (6.18) مليون ريال فقط.

في سياق متصل تصدرت مجموعة دول آسيا (باستثناء دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والدول العربية) قائمة أهم وجهات صادرات القطاع الخاص القطري حسب شهادات المنشأ التي تصدرها الغرفة، وذلك خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2022، حيث استقبلت دول هذه المجموعة صادرات قيمتها حوالي 3.87 مليار ريال قطري بنسبة بلغت 43.4% من اجمالي الصادرات، وجاءت في المرتبة الثانية مجموعة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي التي استقبلت ما نسبته 28.7% من اجمالي الصادرات بقيمة بلغت حوالي 2.56 مليار ريال، وفي المرتبة الثالثة حلت مجموعة دول الاتحاد الأوروبي التي استقبلت صادرات قيمتها حوالي 1.6 مليار ريال بنسبة 17.8% من اجمالي الصادرات.

على صعيد آخر تصدرت جمهورية الهند صدارة قائمة أهم الشركاء التجاريين حسب الدول التي مثلت وجهات لصادرات القطاع الخاص خلال الربع الثاني من العام 2022 مستقبلة صادرات بقيمة بلغت حوالي 1.8 مليار ريال قطري وهي ما تعادل نسبة 20.1% من اجمالي الصادرات، تلتها في المرتبة الثانية سلطنة عمان (من مجموعة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي) التي استقبلت صادرات بقيمة بلغت 1.61 مليار ريال وبنسبة 18%، ثم جاءت هولندا (من مجموعة دول الاتحاد الأوروبي) في المرتبة الثالثة حيث استقبلت أسواقها صادرات بلغت قيمتها حوالي (953) مليون ريال قطري بنسبة بلغت 10.7%.
