QCB’s Foreign Currency Reserves Rise to QR 213.532 Billion

Doha: The international reserves and foreign currency liquidity of Qatar Central Bank increased by 2.010% to reach QR 213.532 billion last August, compared to QR 209.323 billion in the corresponding month of 2021.
The figures issued by Qatar Central Bank today indicated that the official reserves of Qatar Central Bank increased by the end of August of this year than they were at the end of August 2021 by about QR 3.179 billion to reach QR 155.937 billion, driven by the increase in the central banks balances of bonds and foreign treasury bills by about QR 14.819 billion to a level of QR 116.237 billion in August 2022.
Official reserves consist of four main components: foreign bonds and treasury bills, cash balances with foreign banks, gold holdings, special drawing rights deposits, and Qatar’s share in the International Monetary Fund. In addition to the official reserves, other liquid assets (in foreign currency deposits) so that the two together constitute what is known as “total international reserves”.
On the other hand, the balance of special drawing rights deposits from the State of Qatar’s share in the International Monetary Fund decreased by the end of August 2022 by QR 482 million compared to August 2021, to reach the level of QR 5.134 billion.
Balances with foreign banks decreased by QR 14.607 billion to the level of QR 19.100 billion at the end of August 2022 compared to August last year.
On the other hand, gold stocks rose by the end of August 2022 by about QR 3.449 billion to reach QR 15.465 billion.

الدوحة: ارتفعت الاحتياطيات الدولية، والسيولة بالعملة الأجنبية لمصرف قطر المركزي بنسبة 2.010 بالمئة لتبلغ 213.532 مليار ريال في أغسطس الماضي، مقابل 209.323 مليار ريال في الشهر المقابل من العام 2021.
وبيّنت الأرقام الصادرة عن مصرف قطر المركزي، اليوم، ارتفاع الاحتياطيات الرسمية لمصرف قطر المركزي مع نهاية شهر أغسطس لهذا العام عما كانت عليه مع نهاية شهر أغسطس 2021 بنحو 3.179 مليار ريال لتبلغ 155.937 مليار ريال، مدفوعة بارتفاع أرصدة المركزي من السندات وأذونات الخزينة الأجنبية بنحو 14.819مليار ريال إلى مستوى 116.237 مليار ريال في أغسطس 2022.
وتتكون الاحتياطيات الرسمية من أربعة مكونات رئيسية هي: السندات وأذونات الخزينة الأجنبية، والأرصدة النقدية لدى البنوك الأجنبية، ومقتنيات الذهب، وودائع حقوق السحب الخاصة، وحصة دولة قطر لدى صندوق النقد الدولي. ويضاف إلى الاحتياطيات الرسمية موجودات سائلة أخرى (عبارة عن ودائع بالعملة الأجنبية) بحيث يشكل الاثنان معا ما يعرف بـ”الاحتياطيات الدولية الكلية”.
في المقابل تراجع رصيد ودائع حقوق السحب الخاصة من حصة دولة قطر لدى صندوق النقد الدولي مع نهاية شهر أغسطس 2022 بقيمة 482 مليون ريال مقارنة بأغسطس 2021، ليبلغ مستوى 5.134 مليار ريال.
كما انخفضت الأرصدة لدى البنوك الأجنبية بنحو 14.607 مليار ريال إلى مستوى 19.100 مليار ريال بنهاية أغسطس 2022 مقارنة بأغسطس العام الماضي.
على صعيد آخر ارتفع مخزون الذهب مع نهاية أغسطس 2022 بنحو 3.449 مليار ريال إلى 15.465مليار ريال.
