Qatari Inventor Mohsen Al Sheikh Wins Gold Medal

Doha: Qatari inventor Mohsen Hussein Al Sheikh expressed his happiness at winning the gold medal and the shield of the World Cup 2022 for Invention and Scientific Research, which was held in the Republic of Tunisia on the sidelines of the activities of the summit of the Eighth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 8) held early September, for his invention of the “Oxy” – a cooler for a water tank. His total achievements in the field of innovation amounted to six gold medals, five of which were for Oxy and one for his invention of a check printer device.

Mohsen Al Sheikh said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that he dedicated this achievement to the Qatari people, affirming the continuation of efforts to produce an Oxy, with the support of Qatar Development Bank (QDP), Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), and Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), explaining that work is underway to obtain quotations for devices and equipment from local and foreign companies to produce the device in Qatar.

He pointed out that a number of local companies have submitted requests for interest to buy and distribute the product. Al Sheikh called on official authorities, the public, and private sectors to support the project, as it aims to contribute to the preservation of the environment and community service.

The Oxy – a cooler for a water tank, operates with a high-pressure system in the cooling process, and contains sensors that automatically measure the temperature and turn off and operate the device that preserves electricity consumption, with the distinction of being environmentally friendly.

Al Sheikh indicated in his statement to QNA, that his participation in the World Cup 2022 for Invention and Scientific Research in Tunisia came to confirm the presence of the Qatari innovator and inventor in international scientific forums, and his confidence in his invention’s ability to compete with the innovations and inventions of thousands of inventors from all over the world.

He added that he was hoping to compete with two projects in this competition, the Oxy device and the Mahalat electronic platform, which is a pioneering project that aims to preserve the environment and reduce waste in homes and contribute to achieve quality in waste recycling, but could not present the project in the official competition, pointing out that the Mahalat platform provides innovative solutions to reduce the health risks of waste, by alerting the seller and the consumer of the expiry date of the products to be consumed in a timely manner, in addition to organizing and facilitating the sorting of household waste. Mahalat platform also provides a service to shop owners and their customers by registering the contents of the shops of goods in the store and enabling consumers to easily identify their needs, in addition to innovative solutions for delivery services. They are seeking in cooperation with local companies to launch this platform early next year, he said.

Inventor Mohsen Hussein Al Sheikh is currently working as the Environment Manager at Hamad International Airport (HIA), and is the founder of Ibtikar Technology Solutions L.L.C, He studied Environmental Science and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Bradford, UK, He worked for Qatar Petroleum (QP), and in QF with the position of Head of Environmental Operation.

The World Cup 2022 for Invention and Scientific Research was organized in Tunisia at the beginning of September, under the supervision of the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) to promote researchers and inventors, and was launched to be the focus of attention of those seeking excellence, uniqueness and scientific precedence in various disciplines, in order to highlight scientific progress in international forums.

The competition aims to raise the spirit of competition between researchers and inventors, enrich scientific research, stimulate the international community’s interest in the value of scientific research, exchange experiences between researchers and inventors, refine their skills, and open international and investment opportunities for them.

الدوحة: عبر المخترع القطري محسن حسين الشيخ عن سعادته بالتتويج بالميدالية الذهبية ودرع بطولة /كأس العالم 2022 للبحث العلمي والاختراعات/ التي أقيمت في الجمهورية التونسية على هامش فعاليات القمة الثامنة لندوة طوكيو الدولية للتنمية في إفريقيا /TICAD 8/ مطلع سبتمبر الحالي، وذلك عن ابتكاره جهاز أوكسي لتبريد مياه الخزانات، ليبلغ مجموع إنجازاته في مجال الابتكار والاختراع ست ميداليات ذهبية، خمس منها عن /جهاز أوكسي/ وواحدة عن ابتكاره جهاز طابعة شيكات.

وأهدى محسن الشيخ هذا الإنجاز للشعب القطري، مؤكدا في تصريح خاص لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/ استمرار الجهود لإنتاج جهاز أوكسي، بدعم من بنك قطر للتنمية ومؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع وحاضنة قطر للأعمال.. موضحا أن العمل جار للحصول على عروض أسعار للأجهزة والمعدات من شركات محلية وخارجية لإنتاج الجهاز في قطر.

وأوضح أن عددا من الشركات المحلية قدمت طلبات اهتمام لشراء وتوزيع المنتج.. داعيا الجهات الرسمية والقطاعين العام والخاص لدعم المشروع، لأنه يهدف إلى المساهمة في صون البيئة وخدمة المجتمع.

وجهاز أوكسي لتبريد مياه الخزانات يعمل بنظام الضغط العالي في عملية التبريد، ويحتوي على حساسات ‏تقيس درجة الحرارة بشكل آلي وتعمل على إطفاء وتشغيل الجهاز الذي يحافظ على استهلاك الكهرباء، مع تميزه بأنه صديق للبيئة.

وأوضح الشيخ في حديثه لـ/قنا/ أن مشاركته في بطولة /كأس العالم 2022 للبحث العلمي والاختراعات/ في تونس، جاءت لتأكيد حضور المبتكر والمخترع القطري في المحافل العلمية الدولية، وثقة منه بقدرة اختراعه على المنافسة مع ابتكارات واختراعات آلاف المخترعين من جميع أنحاء العالم.

وأضاف كنت آمل أن أنافس بمشروعين في هذه البطولة، الأول /جهاز أوكسي/، والثاني منصة /محلات/ الإلكترونية، وهو مشروع ريادي يهدف إلى المحافظة على البيئة وتقليل المخلفات في البيوت والمساهمة في تحقيق الجودة في تدوير المخلفات، ولكني لم أتمكن من عرض المشروع في المنافسة الرسمية.. مشيرا إلى أن منصة /محلات/ تقدم حلولا مبتكرة لتقليل المخاطر الصحية للمخلفات، من خلال تنبيه البائع والمستهلك بتاريخ انتهاء صلاحية المنتجات فتستهلك في الوقت المناسب، إلى جانب تنظيم وتسهيل فرز المخلفات المنزلية. كما تقدم منصة /محلات/ خدمة لأصحاب المحلات التجارية وعملائها من خلال تسجيل محتويات المحلات من البضائع في المتجر وتمكين المستهلكين من التعرف على احتياجاتهم بسهولة، إلى جانب حلول مبتكرة لخدمات التوصيل، ونحن نسعى بالتعاون مع شركات محلية لتدشين هذه المنصة في مطلع العام القادم.

جدير بالذكر أن المخترع محسن حسين الشيخ، يعمل حاليا مديرا للبيئة بمطار حمد الدولي، وهو مؤسس شركة /ابتكر/ للتقنية ومجمع الابتكار للصناعات التكنولوجية، درس علوم البيئة وتخرج بدرجة البكالوريوس مع مرتبة الشرف من جامعة برادفورد البريطانية، وعمل في قطر للبترول، ومؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، حيث شغل منصب رئيس عمليات البيئة.

ونظمت بطولة /كأس العالم 2022 للبحث العلمي والاختراعات/ في تونس مطلع سبتمبر الحالي، تحت إشراف الهيئة العالمية للاختراع للارتقاء بالباحثين والمخترعين، وتم إطلاقها لتكون محط أنظار الباحثين عن التميز والتفرد والسبق العلمي في مختلف التخصصات، من أجل إبراز السير العلمية في المحافل الدولية.

وتهدف البطولة لرفع روح المنافسة بين الباحثين والمخترعين وإثراء البحث العلمي وتحفيز اهتمام المجتمع الدولي بقيمة البحث العلمي، وتبادل الخبرات بين الباحثين والمخترعين وصقل مهاراتهم وفتح الفرص الدولية والاستثمارية أمامهم.
