Al Meera Group Launches Digital Transformation

Doha: Al Meera Consumer Goods Co. QSC signed a partnership agreement with SAP SE and Tata Consultancy Services Qatar Company WLL to obtain cloud solutions required for its expansion plans and to improve customer and staff experiences across its 60 branches.

Under the newly sealed agreement, RISE with ASP Platform will enable Al Meera Group to expedite its transformation into an advanced cloud environment, and to implement solutions including enterprise resource planning via Microsoft Azure Platform, a statement from the retail giant released Tuesday on the Qatar Exchange website read.

The company indicated that its comprehensive digital transformation project will enable it to benefit from the advantages of cloud computing services and automated business processes as well as providing creative solutions for staff administration systems, improving positioning and ability to control all processes and activities.

CEO of Al Meera Group Yousef Ali Al Obaidan affirmed the company’s commitment to the exceptional experiences it offers to customers in all of its stores in light of its continued local and regional expansion as well as its keenness to offer diversified and high-quality products in a clean environment supported by a professional service as a real value for clients.

Al Obaidan highlighted the company’s adoption of the S/4HANA Cloud System to share data on in-stock goods, supply chains, human resources and other business operations within the company’s increasingly growing network to be able to take the right decisions in a short time to guarantee the continuity of appropriate fulfillment of the needs of clients and staff.

He noted that the company opted for SAP SE and Tata Consultancy Services Qatar Company WLL, two globally renowned companies in the fields of information technology, consultancy and business solutions, for their long high-tech expertise and records of achievements in the retail industry.

The selection of RISE with ASP Platform was based on the company’s aspirations for continued operations and implementation of a fast and sustainable digital transformation plan and expedited delivery of goods, he added.

CEO of SAP in Qatar and Rapid-growth Markets Alaa Gaber said the Al Meera Group’s digital transformation goes in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, which boosts the use of advanced technology, economic competitiveness and diversity. He added that SAP SE worked closely with Al Meera Group and Tata Consultancy Co. to operate ASP SE’s optimum cloud solutions designed for upgrading efficiency and lowering total cost of ownership, deepening positioning and control in all operations, and facilitating IT operations to help Al Meera keeps concentration in its businesses.

Country Head at Tata Consultancy Services, Qatar Devashis Goswami said the agreement would help Al Meera build an integrated platform that offers a unified and immediate vision pivoted around procedures and retail operations as well as enabling it to take better decisions on product pricing and offering promotions.

وذكر بيان صادر عن الشركة نشر على موقع بورصة قطر، اليوم، أنه بموجب الاتفاقية سوف تتبنى منصة رايز ويذ إس إيه بي (RISE with SAP)، الميرة، بغية تسريع انتقالها إلى بيئة سحابية متقدمة، كما ستنفذ الشركة حلولا تتضمن تخطيط الموارد المؤسسية عبر منصة “أزور” من مايكروسوفت Microsoft Azure.

وأشارت الشركة إلى أن مشروع التحول الرقمي الشامل سيمكنها من الاستفادة من مزايا الحوسبة السحابية والعمليات التجارية الآلية، علاوة على تقديم حلول مبتكرة لإدارة الموظفين وتحسين الرؤية والقدرة على التحكم في جميع العمليات والأنشطة.
