A platform launched to sell real World Cup collectibles

Doha: FIFA, in cooperation with Algorand, a cryptocurrency firm, has launched an online platform to sell real collectibles from previous World Cups.
“This announcement will make World Cup collectibles available to all football fans, and democratize every fan’s ownership of parts of World Cup history,” said Romy Gai, FIFA Business Director of the new project.
Algorand, which manages the business for 200 organizations around the world, will run the new FIFA platform, which includes photos, collectibles, signed memorabilia, and unique moments from previous tournaments, much like the NFT project.
Romy, the representative of the new FIFA World Cup collectibles platform, explained what the platform will offer to football fans, saying: “It is an opportunity for football fans to interact and own collectibles for their favorite players. Fans are becoming more involved in the game in new and exciting ways.”

الدوحة: أطلق الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم “FIFA” بالتعاون مع مؤسسة “Algorand” المختصة في العملات المشفّرة، منصّة إلكترونية لبيع مقتنيات حقيقية من بطولات كأس العالم السابقة.
وقال مدير قطاع الأعمال في “FIFA” جاي رومي عن المشروع الجديد: “سيتيح هذا الإعلان مقتنيات كأس العالم لكل مشجعي كرة القدم، ويرسخ الطابع الديمقراطي لامتلاك أي مشجع لأجزاء من تاريخ كأس العالم”.
ستتولّى “Algorand” التي تدير أعمالًا لـ200 منظّمة حول العالم، تسيير منصة “FIFA” الجديدة، التي تتضمن صورًا ومقتنيات وتذكارات موقّعة ولحظات فريدة من البطولات السابقة، أشبه بمشروع “NFT” الصور غير القابلة للاستبدال.
وأوضح رومي ممثل منصة فيفا الجديدة لبيع مقتنيات كأس العالم، ما ستقدمه المنصة لجماهير كرة القدم، قائلًا: “إنها فرصة بالنسبة إلى جماهير كرة القدم للتفاعل وامتلاك مقتنيات للاعبيهم المفضّلين، لقد أصبح المشجّعون ينخرطون في اللعبة أكثر بطرق جديدة ومثيرة”.
