Ministry of Health Announces Update of COVID-19 Travel Policy to State of Qatar

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health announced the update of the travel and return policy for COVID-19, these changes go into force Sep. 4, starting at six o’clock in the evening arrival time in the State of Qatar.
Based on the latest indicators related to COVID-19 in the State of Qatar and the world. The changes have come to facilitate the process of travel and return to the State of Qatar with full commitment to all means that will prevent and protect the community from the threat of the COVID-19 virus.
According to the Ministry of Public Health, the travel and return policy is part of the State’s strategy to combat COVID-19, as strict application of the policy has proven to play a very important role in maintaining the decline in covid-19 infection rates in Qatar over the past years.
These changes, include ending the current classification lists (Red List) in use in the country, ending quarantine requirements for all travelers arriving from abroad, and travelers with COVID-19 must undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the procedures followed in Qatar, when arriving.
The required tests, before travel or after arrival, will continue to be carried out regardless of the vaccination status.
Citizens and residents are subject to rapid antigen (RAT) testing within a period of 24 hours upon arrival in the State of Qatar at one of the health centers affiliated to the primary health care institution or private medical centers approved by the Ministry of Public Health, while visitors should bring a PCR test certificate with a negative result valid for 48 hours or a rapid antigen test (RAT) with a negative result valid for 24 hours, from the date of the scheduled flight to the State of Qatar.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة عن تحديث سياسة السفر والعودة الخاصة بـ (كوفيد-19)، على أن تدخل هذه التغييرات حيز التنفيذ اعتبارا من يوم الأحد الموافق 4 سبتمبر المقبل ابتداء من الساعة السادسة مساء بتوقيت الوصول إلى دولة قطر.
وتم إجراء هذه التحديثات على سياسة السفر بناء على أحدث المؤشرات الخاصة بجائحة فيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19) في دولة قطر والعالم.
وتهدف هذه التغييرات إلى تسهيل عملية السفر والعودة إلى دولة قطر مع الالتزام التام بجميع السُبل التي من شأنها وقاية وحماية المجتمع من خطر فيروس (كوفيد-19).
وأفادت وزارة الصحة العامة أن سياسة السفر والعودة تعد جزءا من إستراتيجية الدولة لمكافحة فيروس (كوفيد-19) حيث أثبت التطبيق الصارم للسياسة دورا هاما للغاية في الحفاظ على انخفاض معدلات الإصابة بفيروس (كوفيد-19) في دولة قطر على مدار الأعوام السابقة.
وتشمل بعض التغييرات التي سيتم تطبيقها وستدخل حيز التنفيذ اعتبارا من يوم الأحد الموافق 4 سبتمبر المقبل إلغاء العمل بقوائم تصنيفات الدول الحالية (القائمة الحمراء).
كما تشمل التغييرات إلغاء متطلبات الحجر الصحي لجميع المسافرين القادمين من الخارج ويتعين على المسافرين الذين تثبت إصابتهم بـ (كوفيد-19) بعد وصولهم لدولة قطر الخضوع لإجراءات العزل الصحي وفقا للإجراءات المتبعة بدولة قطر.
وسيتم الاستمرار في إجراء الاختبارات المطلوبة (قبل السفر أو بعد الوصول) بغض النظر عن حالة التطعيم وفقاً لما يلي: – المواطنون والمقيمون: إجراء اختبار المستضد السريع (RAT) خلال فترة (24) ساعة عند الوصول إلى دولة قطر في أحد المراكز الصحية التابعة لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية أو المراكز الطبية الخاصة المعتمدة من وزارة الصحة العامة.
– الزوار: إحضار شهادة اختبار تفاعل البوليمراز المتسلسل (PCR) بنتيجة سلبية صالحة لمدة (48) ساعة او اختبار المستضد السريع (RAT) بنتيجة سلبية صالحة لمدة (24) ساعة، من موعد الرحلة المجدولة إلى دولة قطر.
