Ministry of Sports and Youth Launches Second Edition of “Ambassadors for Support” Program

Doha: The Ministry of Sports and Youth launched Saturday the second edition of the “Ambassadors for Support” program, which is organized by the Youth Affairs Department until Oct. 8.
The program is part of the strategic initiatives launched by the Ministry to support the youth, guide them and invest in their skills and potentials in order to develop an integrated national personality that is proud of its national identity, complies with the Arab and Islamic values of Qatari society, and actively and positively participates in the development of its society. The initiatives also aim to qualify a number of Qatari youth of both genders to be ambassadors for their country in international organizations, conferences and symposiums.
HE Minister of Sports and Youth Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali said that the program reflects the keenness of the youth to represent their country in the best way; adding that HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has called on the youth to fulfill their social and national responsibilities and to have an active role in making a positive difference in various situations and areas, in the economic, social and political sectors. Therefore, the Ministry of Sports and Youth was keen to embody this call in its vision.
HE the Minister noted that the program also seeks to enable Qatar’s youth to represent their country in international forums, through the meetings and topics they present, which contribute to raising awareness about international relations and various issues.
He pointed to the importance of the program’s activities in providing the participating youth with leadership and technical skills that will raise their capabilities in the field of diplomatic dealing with others and build the personal characteristic of qualified Qatari youth, who makes a positive difference and effectively contributes to seminars, conferences and international participation. These knowledge and skills will also contribute to raising the chances of success for young people at the personal level.
His Excellency urged the participates in the current edition of the Ambassadors for Support program to have an effective contribution through positive interaction with each other, and to seize this opportunity for further acquaintance and communication between them to exchange experiences, ideas and coordination in the service of the country.
The participants have passed a number of evaluation stages before joining the program, and they were chosen from among a large number of applicants.

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة الرياضة والشباب مساء الأمس النسخة الثانية من برنامج /سفراء شباب لدعم/ الذي تنظمه إدارة الشئون الشبابية بالوزارة وتستمر فعالياته حتى الثامن من شهر أكتوبر المقبل.
ويأتي هذا البرنامج ضمن مجموعة من المبادرات الاستراتيجية الرامية إلى دعم الشباب وتوجيههم واستثمار ميولهم ومهاراتهم من أجل تطوير الشخصية الوطنية المتكاملة التي تعتز بهويتها الوطنية وتمتثل للقيم العربية والإسلامية للمجتمع القطري، وتشارك بشكل فاعل وإيجابي في تنمية ذاتها ومجتمعها. كما يهدف إلى تأهيل عدد من الشباب القطري من الجنسين ليكونوا سفراء لبلدهم في المنظمات والمؤتمرات والندوات الدولية.
وقال سعادة السيد صلاح بن غانم العلي وزير الرياضة والشباب إن البرنامج يعكس حرص الشباب على المساهمة في تمثيل وطنهم بالشكل الأمثل، مضيفا “لقد دعاكم حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني، أمير البلاد المفدى لتقوموا بمسؤولياتكم المجتمعية والوطنية وليكون لكم الدور الفاعل في إحداث الفرق الإيجابي في مختلف المواقف والمجالات في الحياة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية للبلاد. لذلك حرصت وزارة الرياضة والشباب على تجسيد تلك الدعوة في رؤيتها “شبابٌ فاعلٌ ومسؤول ذو حسنٍ وطني، ومجتمع ممارس للرياضة.” وذكر سعادته أن البرنامج يسعى إلى تمكين شباب قطر من تمثيل دولة بلادهم في المحافل الدولية، وذلك من خلال اللقاءات والموضوعات التي يطرحها والتي تساهم في رفع مستوى الوعي حول العلاقات الدولية والقضايا المختلفة.
وأشار إلى أهمية فعاليات برنامج سفراء لدعم في إكساب المشتركين المهارات القيادية والفنية التي سوف ترفع من قدراتهم في مجال التعامل الدبلوماسي مع الآخرين وبناء السمة الشخصية للشباب القطري صاحب الكفاءة، الذي يحدث الفرق الإيجابي من خلال حضوره ويساهم بشكل فعال في الندوات والمؤتمرات والمشاركات الدولية. وتلك المعارف والمهارات ستساهم أيضا في رفع فرص النجاح لدى الشباب على الصعيد الشخصي.
وحث سعادة وزير الرياضة والشباب المشتركين في النسخة الراهنة من برنامج سفراء شباب لدعم على أن تكون مشاركتهم مساهمة فاعلة من خلال التفاعل الإيجابي مع بعضهم البعض، وأن ينتهزوا هذه الفرصة لمزيد من التعارف بينهم كأبناء الوطن الواحد وأن يكون بينهم تواصل لتبادل الخبرات والأفكار والتنسيق بما يخدم الوطن ويستديم رفعته.
يشار إلى أن المشتركين في هذه النسخة قد اجتازوا عدداً من مراحل التقييم قبل انضمامهم إلى البرنامج، وتم اختيارهم من بين عدد كبير من المتقدمين.
