Hamad Al-Ghali: Decision not to increase private school fees is still valid

Doha: Director of the Private Schools Licensing Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Hamad Mohamed Al Ghali, said in press statements that, as it was decided since the end of the last academic year, there is no increase in fees for all private and international schools in the State of Qatar, after many schools submitted applications to increase the fees, the administration has carefully studied all the requests that included the financial statements of those schools and it found that their requests to increase the tuition fees is not justified, thus all requests submitted in this regard were rejected.

The Ministry puts a set of necessary controls to consider approving any increase in fees, including the fiscal deficit or moving to new and modern school buildings, and the presence of reports and financial statements for accounts audited by specialized offices. If the increase is approved, it is proportional to the financial deficit that occurs according to the strength of the evidence supporting the approval of the increase and according to the available services provided by private schools and kindergartens for the students enrolled in them.

الدوحة: قال السيد حمد محمد الغالي مدير إدارة تراخيص المدارس الخاصة بوزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي في تصريحات صحفية، أنه كما تقرر منذ نهاية العام الأكاديمي الماضي، لا يوجد أي زيادة للرسوم بجميع المدارس الخاصة والدولية بدولة قطر، وذلك بعد أن تقدمت العديد من المدارس بطلبات لزيادة الرسوم، حيث قامت الإدارة بدراسة دقيقة لجميع الطلبات التي شملت القوائم المالية الخاصة بتلك المدارس، حيث تبين للإدارة أنه لا يوجد أي مبرر لطلبات زيادة الرسوم الدراسية بجميع المدارس المتقدمة، وتم رفض جميع الطلبات المقدمة في هذا الشأن.

تضع الوزارة جملة من الضوابط اللازم توافرها للنظر في الموافقة على أي زيادة في الرسوم منها: العجز المالي، أو الانتقال إلى مبانٍ مدرسية جديدة وحديثة، ووجود تقارير وبيانات مالية لحسابات مدققة من قبل مكاتب متخصصة. وإذا تمت الموافقة على الزيادة فإنها تتناسب والعجز المالي الحاصل حسب قوة الأدلة الداعمة للموافقة على الزيادة وحسب الخدمات المتوافرة التي تقدمها المدارس ورياض الأطفال الخاصة للطلبة المسجلين فيها.
