Fuheis Festival’s 30th Edition Kicks Off in Jordan

Amman: Events of the Fuheis Arts Festival kicked off yesterday, Wednesday, in its 30th edition in Jordan, lasting until August 17th, with the participation of a constellation of Arab artists, and including a diverse program that combines culture, art and singing.

The opening ceremony for the festival started with a musical operetta that reflected the vision and constants of the festival and its future aspirations, with a three-dimensional visual technique for the first time, written by the Jordanian poet Majed Zureikat, dealing with Jordanian national aspects, followed by the Egyptian Night, revived by a group of stars of the Egyptian Opera House.

In addition to concerts and musical evenings, the festival program includes exhibitions of traditional crafts and handicrafts, workshops, programs and activities for children, poetry evenings for Jordanian and Arab poets, literary seminars, as well as a panel discussion on the role of Arab drama in conveying contemporary reality and enhancing it artistically.

A constellation of singing stars from Jordan and the Arab world are participating in the mass concerts on the main stage of the festival, while Al Qanater theater is witnessing a daily performance of various artistic teams.

Director of the festival Al Samawi stressed that the festival has become a milestone in the field of Arab art and culture, which began by the youth of the town of Fuheis in 1990 and still competes with the major festivals in the region.

عمان: انطلقت، مساء الأمس، فعاليات مهرجان الفحيص الفني في دورته الـ/30/ بالأردن ، والذي يستمر حتى 17 من اغسطس الجاري ،بمشاركة كوكبة من الفنانين العرب والذي يتضمن برنامجا منوعا يجمع بين الثقافة والفن والغناء .

وجاء افتتاح المهرجان بأوبريت غنائي عكس رؤية وثوابت المهرجان وتطلعاته المستقبلية، بتقنية بصرية “ثلاثية الأبعاد” لأول مرة، كتب كلماته الشاعر الاردني ماجد زريقات، يتناول جوانب أردنية وطنية، وتلي حفل الافتتاح “ليلة مصرية”، أحياها مجموعة من نجوم دار الأوبرا المصرية.

ويقام المهرجان في دورته الحالية تحت عنوان “الأردن تاريخ وحضارة” في بلدة الفحيص القديمة الواقعة على بعد نحو 13 كيلومترا من العاصمة عمان، وتحمل فعاليات البرنامج الثقافي اسم الشاعر الاردني الراحل جريس سماوي، وذلك تقديرا لإسهاماته الكبيرة في الثقافتين الأردنية والعربية .

وبجانب الحفلات الفنية والسهرات الموسيقية يشمل برنامج المهرجان معارض تشكيلية وأخرى للحرف التقليدية والمنتجات اليدوية وورش عمل وبرامج وأنشطة موجهة للأطفال وأمسيات شعرية لشعراء أردنيين وعرب وندوات أدبية إلى جانب حلقة نقاشية حول دور الدراما العربية في نقل الواقع المعاصر وتعزيزه فنيا.

ويشارك في إحياء الحفلات الجماهيرية على مسرح المهرجان الرئيسي، كوكبة من نجوم الغناء في الأردن والعالم العربي ، فيما يشهد مسرح القناطر عرضا يومية لفرق فنية مختلفة.

وأكد أيمن السماوي مدير المهرجان أن المهرجان أصبح اليوم علامة فارقة في ساحة الفن والثقافة العربية، والذي بدأ على يد شباب بلدة الفحيص عام 1990 وما زال ينافس كبرى المهرجانات في الاقليم .
