7 tips to properly conduct a home Coronavirus test

The Department of School Health Program and Services in Primary Health Care Corporation announced, in a circular sent to state schools, obligating Coronavirus rapid test for teachers at the beginning of the new school year 2022-2023.

The circular stated that, in line with the decision of the National Strategic Group to address the Covid-19 virus at the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the safety of school communities and to ensure that school cadres are free of the Coronavirus, it was decided to make a quick home test for all school cadres (the Administrative and Educational Authority).

According to the circular, all workers in schools and kindergartens, whether they are immunized or previously infected with the Covid-19, must perform a rapid Coronavirus test at home, a maximum of 48 hours before the start of school (before August 14)

Experts have provided 7 tips to correctly perform a home Coronavirus test and how to read the result. These tips included:

1. Wait 15 minutes after having the test to read the results.
2. Don’t try to move the testing kit for 15 minutes.
3. The testing process should be performed on a flat surface.
4. If a single red line appears in area C, the result is negative.
5. If two red lines appear in the T/C areas, the result is positive.
6. If no line appears, the test is invalid.
7. When a line appears only at the T area, the test is invalid.

أعلنت إدارة برنامج وخدمات الصحة المدرسية بالرعاية الصحية الأولية، في تعميم أرسلته إلى مدارس الدولة، عن عودة إلزام الفحص السريع لكورونا للمدرسين مع بداية العام الدراسي الجديد 2022 – 2023 .

وجاء في التعميم ، أنه تماشيًا مع قرار المجموعة الاستراتيجية الوطنية للتصدي لفيروس كوفيد-19 بوزارة الصحة العامة لضمان سلامة المجتمعات المدرسية والتأكد من خلو الكوادر المدرسية من فيروس كورونا كوفيد- 19 فقد تقرر إلزامية إجراء الفحص السريع المنزلي لكافة الكوادر المدرسية (الهيئة الإدارية والتعليمية).

ووفق التعميم، فعلى كافة العاملين في المدارس ورياض الأطفال سواء كانوا محصنين أو سبقت إصابتهم بفيروس كوفيد 19 أن يقوموا بعمل الفحص السريع لكورونا في المنزل كحد أقصى 48 ساعة قبل بدء الدوام المدرسي (قبل 14 أغسطس الجاري).

قدم مختصون 7 نصائح لإجراء اختبار فحص كورونا المنزلي بشكل صحيح وكيفية قراءة النتيجة. وشملت النصائح:

1. عدم قراءة النتائج قبل 15 دقيقة من إجراء الفحص.
2. عدم محاولة تحريك جهاز الفحص خلال الـ15 دقيقة.
3. أن تجرى العملية على سطح مستوٍ.
4. في حال ظهور خط واحد باللون الأحمر في المنطقة C تكون النتيجة سلبية.
5. في حال ظهور خطين باللون الأحمر في المنطقتين T/‏C تكون النتيجة إيجابية.
6. عند عدم ظهور أي خط يعتبر الاختبار غير صالح.
7. عند ظهور خط عند العلامة T فقط يعتبر الاختبار غير صالح.
